Your go-to pizza delivery in Toronto's west end

Your go-to pizza delivery in Toronto's west end

You might have passed by this sprawling pizzeria on Dundas West and found your nose swerving toward the delicious scents of fine Italian cooking in the air. Vesuvio is that oh-so-cute Junction spot for a romantic Italian dinner with affordable and perfectly rendered dishes like a traditional spaghetti carbonara, veal scallopini or mushroom risotto. Or opt for delivery from their condensed takeout menu. For an arrabiata option, sample the Vulcano pizza, spiced to perfection with hot peppers, hot capicollo and hot Italian sausage, or bonus, a piping hot panzerotti (watch out, that cheese will be steaming!)

Nonna-approved: The best lasagna in Toronto

Nonna-approved: The best lasagna in Toronto

Little ones are always welcome at this family-friendly restaurant in the Junction. The casual pizzeria might be known for its fully loaded pies, but there are also 15 hearty pasta dishes on the menu. The house-made lasagna is available in a beef or vegetarian version; both arrive drenched in tomato sauce and sprinkled with fresh parmesan cheese. The labour intensive specialty takes a little longer to prepare, but your stomach will thank you for your patience.

Pizza craving in the Junction in Toronto

Pizza craving in the Junction in Toronto

This classic Italian eatery has been serving Junction residents for more than 50 years now. With its easygoing, family-friendly vibe, the restaurant is a great spot to take the kids or a big group. The classic margherita pizza is extremely popular (for good reason) and the spicy Volcano pizza offers plenty of fiery toppings that really bring the heat. This neighbourhood pizzeria also does take out and delivery.
