The waiter was pushing the special quite agressively. However, the food was very good and made up for that. This was not traditional Portuguese food but instead something that was trying to a bit more mainstream to the north American palate. The atmosphere was pleasant and quiet. The decor was modern and eclectic. This resteraunt is reminiscent of an upscale bistro you would now find in modern day Lisbon catering to more progressive tastes.

Ordered what the set menu offered. Appetizer service was fast a efficient , dinner plate as well but unfortunately dessert took over half hour to serve and coffee order was slow to arrive. other than that food was great.

We went for New Year's eve dinner at Via Norte and I will definitely go back again, as will recommend to friends. The food was really good and service was great. A little bit expensive, but definitely worth it for a special dinner!
