Are you searching for a new pair of glasses but can’t find the perfect frames? Look no further than World Eyewear. Purchased by Shahid Ahmad in 2001, World Eyewear has been providing Toronto with unique frames and exceptional customer service for years.

Because his father worked in the industry, Shahid has been working with glasses since he was 12 years old. “Since I was a kid, I’ve been working evenings, weekends, and summers at my father’s eyeglasses store,” he says. “I grew up in the industry and have an intimate knowledge of the details of running a glasses shop.”

At 21 years old, he purchased the company and started World Eyewear. According to Shahid, the business is built on two main goals: “We want to provide exceptional customer service for every client that comes in the store,” he says. “Also, we provide both high-end designer brands of glasses and smaller, boutique brands that aren’t available in department stores. All of our glasses are authentic, original and unique.”
