I needed the heel tip or lift replaced on a pair black simple very confortable pumps I use as a backup pair & short neighborhood dog walks. They were in good shape🤔female working there said buy a new pair-not worth repairing themthe heel tips on my black 21/2 inch 👠👡pumps = its a normal shoe repair procedure. Im surprised😲she discourages some people from getting their shoes repaired there.🧐Wonder if they focus on repairing $$$$ designer items,shoes,boots etc. SELL ME the heal tips!
for thee past 4 years, I have used Schreiner Shoe Service, and every time they have provided excellent repair work and customer service. For example, they have repaired cross country ski boots that required intricate, fine stitching. Sometimes they are very busy, so expect a slight delay. I highly recommend this small business
I brought my boots in to get the zipper fixed, the woman looked at them and told me she could fix them but pointed out some other damages to the boots and told me I would probably get better moneys worth buying a new pair. I have never had such good customer service where they truly value the customer more than the sale.
Dropped shoes off to have heel shank replaced on at least one shoe and asked them to check the other heel shank for wobbliness. $37 later I had a new heel shank on the right shoe. First day of wear and the "fixed" shoe created a loud squeak when walking (not great in an office). Almost worse yet the left shoe was wobbly with a broken shank. So I take them back <1 week after pickup. They don't offer any solution for me without the carbon pick-up slip. A $37 lesson learned - go somewhere else.
They also don't polish shoes as the value-add that other shoe repair shops offer. There are definitely better options out there.
