Just got back from Gilligans in Tecumseh, not only is the food great and plentiful but our waitress Gayle was fantastic. We brought home more food then we ate probably, The key is to go early enough on a Saturday or Friday night so you don;t have a long wait, we will be back again,
The lowly hamburger gets royal treatment at Gilligan's in Tecumseh. I can't even order hamburgers at other restaurants after having become used to their 16 oz. monsters, cooked perfectly, with delicious toppings, on a big fresh bun that almost qualifies as a loaf of bread in its own right. Service is super as well. Prompt refills. Strangely, the service (and even the wedgie portion) is much better at this Tecumseh location. Despite the same owner, I actually drive PAST the one in my neighbourhood (Walkerville) and out to Tecumseh when I'm hungry. The service on Walker road was just so abysmal last time I can't even bring myself to go back. Tecumseh's gain I guess...
husband had wings, I had chicken fingers and salad. Great food. Server was fast and pleasant and always checked to make sure we were okay even though the restaurant was busy. Nice atmosphere.
This place ROCKS!! it took some time to get a table, but when we sat down we didn't want to leave. The burgers are huge! I am part of a travel soccer team and we play all over ontario and michigan and we still have not found a burger place like this one...how about some free coupons!
On a Saturday night, at 7:30, the place was EMPTY. That should have been our first clue. The service was incredibly slow. They burned our onion rings. The corned beef was dry and tasteless. The ribs was full of grizzle and completely underdone. The ribs were served on top of the fries and the fat from the bottom of the ribs congealed over the fries in clumps. Even the french fries tasted like cardboard, no flavour - they actually tasted like they were made earlier and just warmed up for our order. The caesar salad was so drenched with dressing that you couldn't taste the lettuce - you wouldn't even know there was lettuce if it wasn't for the crunch. Everything tasted like it was sitting under the heat lamp all day.
GROSS, GROSS, GROSS.
if i could only figure out a way to own a gilligans the world would be perfect. not to mention every visit the food gets better and better and i don't know why, but keep up the good work.
it was kids eat free night and everything was oustanding. Service was great. I did even think the resataurant was busy because our waitress took such good care of us. We had our first time last month and we will always come back. All the servers are great expecally with my son. They always cater to our needs. Thank you so much.
just moved to tecumseh for work and i felt a little home sick for toronto, but let me tell you i felt like i was in the beaches eating at my favourite restaurant. Gilligans was small crowded and the food was real. lick's look out if this restaurant goes to T.O.
