Noticing every negative review is by the same account...hmm...
This restaurant is excellent.The food is fast and well made with the classic technique I have come to expect from this company. Owner and Manager are both very respectful people.
you will notice the last ime this place got a good review was in 2007. While I was prepared to forgive the fact that they did not have a bottle of wine although it was on the menu, I was not prepared for the downsizing of portions that has happened.
If they used to cook 5 pound chickens, they now cook three pound chickens. The difference in serving size is considerable, and was not even hidden by a larger portion of fries - the fries were about the same.
We went their for dinner and what a mistake. The place was just filthy. Dishes and glasses were piled up on all the tables. From what it looked like to me is that the servers had absolutely no time to clean their tables, as they were severely understaffed. It took forever to get our drinks, even longer to place our orders, and our food come out at a glacial pace, and it was stone cold. I used to love eating Swiss Chalet fries, but what they served us were not fries. They were dark and black, and they didn't even peel the potatoes like all the other stores do, and it seemed like they don't ever change their frying oil. The bathrooms were filthy, and it was extremely cold and I really did not appreciate the attitude the manager gave me when I asked if they could calm down a little with the air conditioner. On my way out I waited at the bar (which was filthy) again to complain to the manager. I even told a server to get me a manager. The manager didn't have the decency to come out and speak to me. What a Coward. Avoid this place like the plague. The health unit should close this place down ASAP.
Me and my son went here for lunch. I ordered a chicken cesar salad thinking how could that be messed up!?! The lettuce had not been washed and was dirty. After I ate 2 bites of lettuce and waiting over a half hour for the waitress to come and check on us I told her the lettuce was dirty and she said OOO went and got a take out box and put it on the table. I said I am not taking it out it is dirty and I am not going to eat it. She then went and made up our bill and brought it to the table, I was charged $11 for a salad I did not eat and it was thrown in the garbage at the resturant. Will NEVER step foot in this place again!!!! HORRIBLE
Terrible. People were mean, I had a hair in my food, slow service. It was a Wednesday and they were out of light chicken meat! That is just irresponsible.
Greeted at the door promptly and seated at a comfortable roomy table. The decor is up to date and our server did a great job! Where can you go for that consistently quality healthy, meal, served in a reasonable timeframe and doesn't break the bank? It's a routine for us.
