“I started with this in 1981, and through trying and prosperous times, I think it’s honesty that made sure we have regular interest from great customers,” says Eduardo Nunes, who originally took over Bijouterie Rosas de Portugal from his cousin those many decades ago, and the family tradition continued with his wife and then son Andrew. “This place is as much a member of the family as we are, and that makes for honesty our customers cherish.”
Andrew began working in the family business early in high school, and with a forward and familiar style, he certainly knows how to cut to the chase as his father does. “When both your parents make a living at this, it’s hard not to learn a thing or two. I think what matters most is that we’re honest with each other, we get along well and know how to have fun, and that enjoyment and positive experience makes this work fun, allows us to enjoy the company, and keeps our customers wanting to come back.”
