Espagnol Sans Limites

“Learning Spanish is not something you do in a classroom,” explains Dany Alvarado. “You have to engage with the language, with Hispanic culture, and, above all, you have to practice as much as possible outside of class.” Alvarado runs Espagnol Sans Limites, along with his father Irving and mother Neri Rodriguez,. Together, they’ve devised ever-inventive methods for learning the world’s third “official language.”

“We offer group classes, taught right here in our facility, to initiate people to the Spanish language or to advance their proficiency. We also offer private lessons, either here or in the comfort of the learner’s home, for a more custom-made experience,” Dany explains. In addition to its traditional course offering, Espagnol Sans Limites offers its corporate clients on-site lessons. “It’s a really popular format, because a growing number of Montreal businesses have dealings with Latin American contacts. Latin America is a fully participating actor in a globalized world and is a growing market.”

The school really stands out, however, for the informal activities it sets up: “Every Friday, we host a Spanish-only Happy Hour event, where we all go out to a typically-Latin restaurant and just casually converse and mingle,” says Dany. “We also host movie screenings to maximize opportunities to interact with Latin and Spanish cultures.”

To round things out, Espagnol Sans Limites also organizes linguistic trips to Cuba, Mexico or Peru, during which participants are hosted by locals and study the language while exploring the sights.
