Delicious and centrally located

This please is absolutely amazing. A great wine list, great service and most importably delicous french cuisine. Love it, would go back. Great for a romantic evening or with a group of friends. Heart of the plateau.

Food is impeccable. Loveliest, friendliest service. Would have enjoyed a bit more wine knowledge from servers but overall the night was outstanding. Will be back for sure.

Brunch picks on Montreal’s Plateau-Mont-Royal

Located on Mont-Royal Avenue in the heart of the Plateau, the restaurant La salle à manger offers a European-style brunch menu. Choices include a cured meat dish, fried eggs, salmon gravlax and even a bento box. If you are the "salty" type, this brunch should please you.

Where to eat in Montreal on Monday night

Le Plateau-Mont-Royal offers a menu based on whatever has been delivered fresh by its suppliers. Inscribed on the blackboard, the menu changes every week. A few dishes to be enjoyed at La Salle à Manger: a smoked mackerel, fried chicken tacos, a rabbit leg and striped bass ceviche. Open until midnight on Mondays.

I consider that this is the best restaurant for group dining in Montreal. There is something for everyone on the menu, and you can share dishes such as suckling pig, roasts, osso bucco, or wild meat such as deer. Seasonal vegetables are always part of the menu – take, for example, the squash ravioli or the leek and chicory salad served with thinly sliced lamb and soft-boiled eggs.
