Meet the owner

The florist Marie Vermette Inc. was established many decades ago at the corner of Laurier and St. Hubert. Having made her career in the world of communications and public relations for the Montreal Exchange, Marie decided to change fields and take a course at the Institute of Food Technology in Saint-Hyacinthe to start her own business. A flower shop had already been in the location for 50 years, so as the owner of the building, Marie decided to continue the local tradition when she opened her shop.

While her customers hail mainly from the Plateau and Outremont, they also come from downtown and Old Montreal — in short, people come from all over the city. And thanks to Marie's membership in the Teleflora network,  bouquets and floral arrangements can be ordered and delivered to locations around the world.
