Maria's is a Kitsilano institution. The atmosphere is everything you would expect a Greek restaurant to offer complete with pictures of Greek scenery adorning the walls. The food is really good and even my wife who is not the biggest fan of Greek food loves the food at Maria's. I usually have what I had on our most recent visit...one of the souvlaki dinners. Our most recent trip I had chicken souvlaki and the chicken was perfectly tender and the potatoes and rice were great too. Next time you have a hankering for Greek food visit Maria's Taverna on 4th! A Group of work friends and I went to St. Augustine's after work for a couple drinks and some appy's and had the best experience. Friendly and very knowledgeable staff, who were able to describe every one of the 20 something different kinds of beer. The Food was amazing Pulled pork Nachos and Putin was to die for.
