Getting a good night’s sleep while on vacation can make your holiday that much more enjoyable. And we all know that when your baby sleeps well, you are more likely to sleep well. Travel beds are the perfect solution to help ensure your child has a restful, comfortable night’s sleep wherever you are.

Enjoy all the advantages travel beds have to offer

Travelling and sleeping in new places can be confusing and unsettling for babies and young children. Taking a travel bed with you on trips is a simple way to make sure at least part of the environment is familiar to your child. It might even be a good idea to introduce the travel bed to your child at home during play time, or even have him or her nap in it.

Not all hotels have baby beds available so if you bring along your own, you don’t have to worry about not having a comfortable, safe place for your child to sleep.

What kind of travel beds are there?

In short, all kinds. They come in all shapes, sizes, and weights, with some being much more portable than others. Of course, if you always drive on your vacations and have a big car, the size and portability of your travel bed might not be important factors for you to consider.

Different kinds of beds for children of different ages

Travel beds are designed to suit kids of specific ages. For example, a travel bed designed for a child under one will probably have sides all around that make it very difficult for the baby to get out on his own. After all, you wouldn’t want your nine-month-old to get out of bed in the middle of the night to wander around a space that's not necessarily baby-proof. A travel bed for a four-year-old, however, probably wouldn’t have sides to contain the child, because a child of that age is more sensible.

A travel bed is good to have around for visiting friends

It’s likely that you have friends with babies or young children, so this portable bed might even come in handy when they are visiting. Haven’t you ever been at a friend’s house and wanted to stay longer, but you had to go home to put your baby to bed? Imagine how convenient it would have been if your friends had an extra baby bed lying around.

A travel bed is useful to have, not just for your own family, but for visiting friends as well. It’s well worth the investment.
