Situated in the regal old Toronto Dominian bank building across Stephen Avenue Walk from the Arts Commons complex, elegant Teatro is especially popular with theatregoing diners. Since opening in 1993,  the restaurant has worked to remain worthy of the regal historic building it calls home. Its balance of high-end service and welcoming comfort has made Teatro one of Calgary’s top fine-dininig establishments for more than 20 years.

“There are a lot of little things that we are passionate about that I don’t think all other restaurants embrace,” says Karen Kho, service director for the Teatro Group, which also owns Cucina, Vendome Cafe, Ca’Puccini and a few other restaurants. “We embrace hospitality at its finest level and that charm and grace is something that a lot of restaurants lose when there’s more of a corporate feel to them. For us, it’s always been people first and that’s a big contribution to our success. It’s about providing memories instead of just meals.”

A deffinate do-again

A fantastic restaurant. The service was top-notch. The waiter was incredibly knowledgeable and was a wealth of information when questioned. They were attentive to our every need and ended up making for what has got to be a world-class experience. The food was fantastic and the Chef even shared a complimentary corn soup antipasto with our table... again, it was fantastic! Thanks for your attention to detail and for the great ambiance!
