Meet the owner

Dr. Martin Lovo grew up around animals. He was born and raised in small town, in an agricultural area of Saskatchewan, so he was as familiar with cows as he was with cats. But his dad was a dog lover and, that's where a big part of Martin's love for animals comes from.

His dad’s best friend was a country vet, equally at home dealing with a family pet or ailing livestock.  So Martin got an early, close up and personal look at what it takes to be good with both animals and their owners.

Martin graduated from high school in 1987, earned a degree in biology from the University of Saskatchewan and then went to Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon. When the time came to build a practice, he moved west to Alberta and went to work for the Horizon Veterinary Group in Calgary. When he saw the chance to open his own Horizon clinic in McKenzie Towne, he jumped at it.

    Fantastic service...

    Fantastic service, staff is always smiling and knowledgeable and friendl . We took our new puppy there for his first check up and they made sure I had any questions answered and that I knew I could call them at any time if I thought of something else. The prices are great as well compared to a few vets we checked out before coming here. I would recommend them to anyone.
