A charming Italian eatery with a reputation for excellence, Corso 32 only has room for 32 guests at a time – just one of the reasons why it can take weeks to get a table during peak times. The romantic lighting and exquisite food only add to the intimate atmosphere. The tables are quite close together, so it’s not the best place for a private conversation but it’s a great way to make new foodie friends. Pasta made in-house and a lovely wine list seal the deal. Pro tip: to avoid waiting, avoid the weekends and request a 5 p.m. seating.

Best Italian restaurants in Edmonton
This restaurant served as the catalyst for Edmonton’s current food revolution. Chef/owner Daniel Costa provides flavours inspired by Italy. This cozy, lively, 34-seat restaurant may be the toughest reservation in town to get but it’s worth it. It’s easily the best restaurant for proper pasta. The arancini are always a knock-out dish, as are the house made goat ricotta and fried short rib with shaved pear and arugula. You’ll never go wrong by ordering any of the pastas, and the game hen will make you weep. I love to finish with the fior di latte gelato affogato with Nardini Amaro.
