Peggy Dachwitz had been working in various retail jobs but had always had a love of flowers. “I’m kind of artistic, you could say. Flower arranging is a different type of art form using living things,” says Peggy. In 2006, she decided to turn her passion into her career and opened Hypnotic Bloom. ”I went in with a plan hoping it would take off and it did,” she says. “I think it helped that our designs were unique and different.”

She didn’t go into her first business venture blind, taking three years to research the best location for Hypnotic Bloom. “I made sure it was the right location and everything,” says Peggy. “I noticed the south side was busy. There were lots of young families and it was growing, so I knew it was the best place. We’re kind of in the middle of everything. We’re close to Riverbend, Mill Woods, Ellerslie and Southgate.” The store has expanded online and now delivers all over Edmonton and the surrounding areas.

    I ordered flowers at this company for the first time as I live out of town. The flowers were beautiful and lasted over two weeks said my mom. Prices are very good ($2/carnation). Also, the company was very accommodating when we had to re-schedule the delivery for later in the day. This is my new flower company of choice:)

    Missed details

    I ordered a dozen roses to be delivered to someone at their job on Valentine's Day. The roses I ordered were beautiful, HOWEVER... 1) The ordering page on the site doesn't give any confirmation of order. 2) The flowers were to be delivered after a certain time, and they were delivered far too early in the day. I was not notified. 3) MOST IMPORTANT - the message I specified to be put on the card, was not. It ruined the whole effect. When I sent in a complaint to the store, I received a less than professional repsonse which basically told me that's how it was, and there was nothing offered in the way of apology.

    Deliverys are done by a private company and being valentines day I think having it early is very good .usually there are no times specified for any delivery except for mornings or afternoon .so I think for a holiday you should consider this quite good .thank you for your consurn on this matter.
