We have several cars we bring in, the service is excellent. The comment on the oil leak is what would have happened at any shop. It is an honest shop doing work at an honest price.

Their repair caused an oil leak it never had before they worked on it. They blamed the oil leak on the age of our car. They put an additive in the engine oil to stop the leak at our cost, without our permission and it still leaks!

    Great service, th...

Great service, the staff is excellent. Very professional and helpful. Others such as Kal-Tire may want to take note on how to run a competent service station, when I make an appointment at Brian's. Low and behold, they actually do the work when the appointment was scheduled. Thanks to all the staff at Brian's !!!!

    A mechanic you can trust

I try to do simple stuff on my vehicle myself. I take my car in to Brian's when I can't handle the job or need a diagnosis. I trust them completely, more for what they haven't done than for what they have done. This sounds odd but let me explain with an example. My new (to me) 2006 Nissan's "service engine soon" light came on. I checked in the manual and online but couldn't find how to get the fault code displayed so I took it in to get the code read and was told it would cost about $20. The code revealed a large evap leak, now I know nothing about the fuel system and gave them the green light to fix it. It turns out my fuel cap wan't on properly. Cost for diagnosis and fix $24.50. The point I want to make here is that if they weren't as experienced or ethical as they are they could easily have charged for all kinds of other stuff and I wouldn't have been any the wiser. There have been other instances, once I took a CRV in for the timing belt changed and told "It isn't needed yet, come back in another 20000km. I don't like paying for mechanical work on my vehicles but it is a whole lot easier to swallow when you know that you are only being charged for what is absolutely needed.
