Meet the owner

The artisanal intent at Spacca Napoli is visible in the flour-dashed counter where the dough is pulled and hand-stretched, and in the red brick Neapolitan wood-burning oven where that same dough emerges 90 seconds later, its char-specked crust puffy and blistered.

Co-owner and chef Marco Cresciullo originally hails from Italy. Marco and his business partners – Davide Di Giovanni, and Danny and Paolo Pero – set out to open their own authentic Italian pizzeria in Port Moody in July 2016.

The artfully constructed masterworks by Marco and his culinary team are as representative of a Neapolitan pizza as you're likely to find outside Naples – not surprising, considering Italian-born Marco is from Naples, pizza's birthplace, where it is believed the first pie was made in the late 18th century.

    We had high hopes for this place but were disappointed. It is a nice space, but the waiter was clueless and the pizza barely edible, it was like bland cardboard, no flavor. The menu too is not very enticing, it needs some work. Hopefully they will improve with time but should take some lessons from some of the better places in Van. We would have to be pretty desperate to give it a second chance, but may do as we want to like it.

    The "spacca Napol...

    The "spacca Napoli" APPY is exactly like the fried appy's in Naples. The pizza is amazing and the service was good. Even though its a new restaurant growing pains with service are expected. Over all a wonderful experience. Well worth the drive out to Port Moody.

    One of the worst ...

    One of the worst experiences I've ever had,I am a pizza connoisseur my best friend and I search for the best pizza in the lower mainland I attended this restaurant with my family and the service was horrendous no napkins no cleaning plates from first service missed orders but not missed on the bill! Reminded me of when marcellos opened on commercial anyway food ok pizza is like famoso chewy dough and don't order spacca Napoli appy, it's just deep fried dough for 15 bucks , we will never be back!
