Keg is expensive but delivers

We arrived a little late for without reservations, but the restaurant had a table and seated us immediately (was a full house). My dinner companion ordered a glass of wine (sauvignon blanc) which was delivered promptly. I had Shiraz. We ordered the salade. The salad was crisp, fresh with crunch toasted walnuts, sweet roasted beets, and tangy raspberry viniagrette. The prawns were fabulous, seared tender and sweet, prepared with lemon butter, tomatoes and capers. Our entrees were the New York steak and she ahd salmon. Both were very good, prepared just right with a light charred crust. Did not stay for dessert, as we were out of time and had other commitments (hotel reservation) and a curfew. Our server was attentive, without being intrusive, and very helpful with explaining the menu choices. Unfortunately, he was a he. Room was dark, clean, lots of wood tones... room is a little packed, but acceptable because the darkness assured privacy.

This is yet another excellent Keg restaurant with...

This is yet another excellent Keg restaurant with outstanding food, service and excellent value and ambiance. The shrimp cocktail is of a very high quality as are the house green salad, French onion soup and the tenderloin. Service is attentive without being overly solicitous. The tenderloin is cooked to order and very tasty. Access is easy and parking is plentiful. No complaints here.

It was a busy Saturday, I was seated on time with reservation. the doneness of the steaks are just right according to everybody's preference. I love the crispy onion on the side. Overall very good experience.
