For people who want to ride their bikes in comfort and arrive in style, Raiment Cycle Clothing is the place to shop for attire.

“The idea is you hop on your bike in the morning and you get to where you are going, to work or to the pub, and you are comfortable with what you are wearing. It's not as if you need to go change,” says co-owner, Jared Boudreau.

Initially, the business was founded by Kevin Corkum and shared space with Musette Cafe at the intersection of Drake and Hornby Streets. Bikes and coffee go well together says Jared, who joined the project a year later.

In October 2013, the pair moved up to a quaint 300 square foot shop on West Broadway. The business offers a distinct fusion of brands that would typically not be found together in one shop.

Raiment sources stylish cycling-specific clothes and puts them in one place: jackets with reticulated shoulders that allow for easy reaching forward to the handle bars, shoes that appear casual and everyday but that are compatible with SPD clip pedals, pants with gusseted crotches and reflective strips on the inside of the ankle, so when rolled up they keep the rider noticeable on the road. They also carry bags, hats and accessories.

The brands they carry include Mission Workshop, Rapha and DZR urban cycling shoes, as well as a line of Levi's designed specifically for the cyclist.
