One of the best patio in Kits, if not the entire city, this hidden gem is located upstairs at the Jericho Sailing Club and it has absolutely pristine views of Burrard Inlet and the North Shore Mountains. It’s a wonderful summer spot to take in the view while sipping on an ice cold beer. The atmosphere is beach casual and the staff is bright and friendly.
The Galley is simply good food by the beach. A prime beachside venue, the restaurant is conveniently located right on the water of Jericho Beach, on the second floor of the Jericho Sailing Centre. The menu offers classic beach concession fare: think burgers, fish and chips, hot dogs and fish tacos. In true Vancouver style, there are plenty of vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options. Thirsty? The Galley is also fully licensed so you can enjoy patio pints while watching the sunset.
There’s something about eating nachos on a rooftop patio, seaside, watching the sunset’s reflection bounce off the walls of a glass city nestled amidst mountains that really makes for a memorable dining experience. The nachos at the Jericho Sailing Centre’s rooftop restaurant are served on a huge platter with lots of cheese, olives, black beans, corn, and jalapeño peppers, and there’s definitely something magical about them. There’s lots of guacamole, smoky salsa and sour cream on the side as well.
