Meet the owner

Some people choose their professions based on market trends, others on the people they work with. But for Kyle Smallegange, founder of Alpha Pro Painting, what led him to professional painting was his entrepreneurial spirit. “I’ve worked for a lot of different people in a lot of different roles,” Kyle says. “But what I like most about my job now is that I’m my own boss.”

Officially opened in 2013, Kyle had already been a painter on-and-off for years. Originally, he started as a way to help his family and friends, but soon more people were seeking out his services. “Painting used to be a weekend thing for me,”Kyle recalls. “It’s something I’m good at, so I kept getting more and more jobs until I had to take it on full-time. Since then, we’ve only gotten bigger.”

Now, his painting expertise ranges from residential properties to commercial buildings and new housing developments in the Toronto and Durham Region.

    We hired Alpha Pro Painting to paint 80% of our home. Kyle was fast, clean, and respectful. He works in a timely fashion and took all measures necessary to keep our home clean, which was a big deal for us. He was so nice and worked around our schedule to fit us into his. We had a few companies look at our home before we went with Alpha Pro Painting and chose Kyle because we connected right away and we could tell we could trust him with our home. WELL DONE!! WE LOVE IT!
