5 Star Furnace & Duct Cleaning

This company is a joke. Randy is the worst possible person to work with and hes rude and lies thru his teeth.

I had my vents and furnace cleaned with 5 star. Amazing job. Randy showed me before and after pictures - night and day. My furnace has never looked cleaner. My vents are as clean as can be. Very helpful advise on maintenance. I will be using them again for my regular vent and furnace cleaning from now. You will get what you paid for and more.

Never showed up for appointment, telling me I had booked for another day. Later they said I had indeed booked for the day that they did not show up but no explanation why they did not show up. When I contacted them, they twice said they would get back to me in a minute and never returned call until 5 days later. After, they erased their part of the conversation with me via Messenger. Too many red flags to try booking with them again.

More like 0 star! Randy gave me an appointment and did not show up, did not answer phone calls and did not call me to let me know that he was unable to make it. Wasted 3 weeks as I waited for this appointment. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY AT ALL!

Randy was very nice on the phone, offered a good rate. Then he showed up late, spent an hour walking in and out of the house talking on his phone before he started working. Didn't replace the vent covers or furniture, left a mess of dust, debris, old tape all over the basement. Said he needed to get tools to clean the HWT from another van, he left and never came back. Hasn't returned phone calls, never finished the job. Randy will look you in the eye and lie with a smile on his face. Beware.

Terrible service....

Terrible service... canceled on me 3x I wouldn't even bother contacting these guys... they are a JOKE. I switched my furnace on after their supposed cleaning and my house was nothing but dusty... I had to call another company to come and clean it properly... the cost was a much better value at 2nd place!! And they were proffessional and knowledgeable about the job they did.

Could not get them to return my calls or follow through with anything. Sitting around for three hours waiting for someone who will never show up is frustrating enough, but dealing with them on the phone afterwards and hearing no remorse was worse. Do these guys even clean ducts and furnaces? On top of everything they never called back to reschedule. WINNIPEGGERS DO NOT USE 5 STAR FURNACE!!!

UNBELIEVABLE unreliable and shady

I had an appointment with this company 5 Star Furnace and Duct Cleaning, for 1:00PM (Saturday) and once again nobody showed up or even bothered to CALL and let me know. This is the 4th appointment we have booked with nobody even calling or coming to the appointment. We never receive a call to re-book we have to call them back and re-schedule time and time again. It is so unprofessional, the "owners" are rude and have no care at ALL for their customers, I would NEVER use this company or recommend them to ANYONE I know. Never in my life have I dealt with such poor quality and customer service from a company who prides in being "5 Stars"....... Unbelievable!!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!

Nothing but professional service!

I bought a duct cleaning groupon from this company. I was pleasantly impressed at the expertise and high level of professionalism that Randy and Dave have. (The owners) They immediately identified potentially harmful mold that was in my ducting system and worked quickly to rectify the problem. I felt confident that this company wasn't ripping me off and pushing to sell unnecessary products as most companies often do. They took the time to explain the mechanics of my furnace and ducting system without all the "fluff" talk. Thank you again for getting the job done! 5 star furnace is a joke!

I would rate these guys 0 stars.I had purchased a groupon for $69 for 10 returns, when they came they charged me an additional $69 for "additional returns".Typicaly groupon is supposed to be cheaper...but not with these guys.I have cleaned my ducts in the past with out groupons wih companies where it was $149, typically it takes about 1.5 hours...5 star was in and out of our house in 20 mins...so lets think about this, how is it possible to clean "20" ducts in 20 mins efficiently?I would say quite impossible.I sent an email to the company & they argued the fact that they were here for over an hour and that they can provide me "pictures" of the before & after.I didnt even bother because how do i know if they are even my ducts?When they were cleaning my ducts they had asked if i wanted my furnace cleaned - are you kidding??!!! Anways, now that they have left, our furnace no longer runs properly, we figure that they blew all the dust into the furnance so in the end we have to call another duct/furnace cleaning company to fix their work...so it ended up costing us much more then if i were to pay full price with a reputable company.what a joke!

Poor & Shoddy Business Practices

I got a coupon through Dealfind. First it took me almost 2 months to be able to get an appointment, then when the 2 guys showed up an hour late, (they did phone to say they would be late), they said they didn't have a hose long enough to reach my furnace. He said he did have a longer hose at home but I would need to make another appointment and that someone should be calling me almost immediately. After an hour and not hearing anything, I called the company and made another appointment for the following Saturday, this was on Tuesday,. I did tell them I did not want to wait another 2 months for an appointment. So now it's Saturday, they were suppose to be here at 11....at 11:30 I called the company to find out what is going on and lo and behold..you can't reach anyone on a Saturday...only Monday to Friday. It is now 12 and I still have no one hear and no one that I can call. Real good business....I tell you...NEVER AGAIN

"I recently had the pleasure of meeting 2 great guys at 5 star furnace after purchasing a Groupon voucher for duct cleaning. I had many other services added on once I was informed of all their abilities, for example I had my furnace, HRV and dryer vent cleaned as well as a full system disinfection. The guys took the time to explain exactly what they were doing and even pulled me aside to show me before and after results! They were respectful in my home, their services were complete with efficiency and they were very friendly and approachable during the service. The cost of their services were quite reasonable, especially with the groupon! Not only did this particular occasion give me a clean and fresh home, but it also initiated a continuing partnership with 5 star furnace. I will be contacting them for ALL of my future services! no calls..didnt show up!!!!

I HAVE AN APPOINTMENT TODAY BET. 8AM-9AM.NOBODY SHOWED UP..I CALLED THEM AND THEY TOLD ME THEY LEFT MESSAGE ON MY ANSWERING MACHINE...WHAT A LIE..I DONT HAVE AN ANSWERING MACHINE!!!!CANT EVEN RE SCEDULE YOU TILL NEXT YEAR...DONT EVER CALL THESE COMPANY!!!!!

I'm very impressed with the service I received from this company.They really back their name!!They walked me through everything they did and took before and after pictures and even went behond what they were here to do.Example..We just got a new furnace and they noticed and fixed a few things the furnace installers should've done.I will with out a doubt call them in the future and refer them to family and friends.

Unbelievable & Unreliable

I had an apt for 8am, they called me at 9:15am and said that they are having trouble getting to Selkirk,mb cause of the snow. We had a snowstorm on saturday and it's monday now. I drove part of highway #9 towards Winnipeg and it was clear and passable. The streets in Selkirk have been cleared since yesterday. I drive a station wagon and I get around fine. The person who called offered no apology for the late call and inconvenience. If this company runs a business in Manitoba and cancels cause of snow which is already cleared they are not going to do very well here in Manitoba. Would never go through them again.
