Meet the owner

Stopping just five years short of a 100-year-long dry spell, Maria Lutkiewicz and her son Oliver helped get the liquor licensing sorted for the last dry area of Ontario in 2000. Since 1993, Yellow Griffin had been a café and bakery. With the new laws in place, Oliver, Maria and their family worked together to bring a great little pub to the area.

“I built the pub with my two hands,” Oliver said. “I’ve been here right from the get go as the general manager, but it’s a family business, so we are all involved in the decision making and direction of the business.” At The Yellow Griffin Pub, there have been plenty of changes – both tasty and entertaining – that have set it far apart from the other pubs in the area.

Great Pub - 35 Different Burgers!!!

Want to try a 'different' burger? This place does them all. Great atmosphere, and a pool table upstairs. Great place to hang out and toss a few back with friends. Highly recommended.

The other pub on this list isn’t messing around with its featured burger either. The Calypso Burger is Caribbean meets American classic, a blend of salty and sweet. The eight-ounce patty is topped with bacon, avocado, mango and cheddar!
