This was the first time my husband and I went out to a restaurant since we recently moved to Milton (border line Acton). Tonight was one of those `What are you in the mood for evenings?` where we just wanted to get out and try something new. I found the reviews thru this website most helpful with the decision process. We enjoy Thai food but have found it can be hit and miss with some places and therefore do not eat it often- As it turned out, this was one of our best meals. The restaurant itself is a happy in between style of comfort casual. The waitress was considerate of seating us in a less busy area. She was very honest about what was good and what was bland or not so good. Our soup was absolutely fabulous!! The best ever! The perfect blend of spices, and yet not too sweet - We even ordered a second soup to go for later. Both of our meals were again, fabulous. The rice completed and complemented the meal, all while being very affordable! My only complaint was that they should invest in updating their bathroom - slanted floor and ceiling - not that it was dirty though, but because it has old water stains (stained toilet) and simply put is in desperate need of a Reno! Other then that, we will become regular dinners. We thank everyone for their input as it made our night out `worth the drive to Acton :)
I live in Acton and order from here as often as possible.The food is amazing,constantly good,home made,although the cost is usually toward the higher end of the scale
I've been to Liy's multiple times - and never been disappointed. The food is excellent - staff are very welcoming and friendly. Lily always seems to remember her regulars - and it's nice to be recognised by the owner - rather than being a faceless punter like you feel in one of the big chain restaurants.
I wanted to note that Lily Thai has moved from Acton to Georgetown Ontario. Although LIly Thai in Acton is still there it's not the same owner or the same Chef, Helen's husband and Helen are working from the Main Street Georgetown location. I bring a lot of people to her restaurant and every always asks to go back again and again. I'm actually heading out the door after writing this for some lunch!
I've been eating at Lily Thai for at least 4 years. I have never had a "bad" experience, and frankly every single meal seems to taste better than the last. All the food is fresh and cooked to order on demand, and they always make adjustments (not too much spice etc) without a complaint. The owners are splendid although the husband who is the head chef is quite shy, and his wife Helen is the exact opposite, always happy to see us and happy to deliver too! Lunch times they have a great lunch special and if I'm not mistaken I walk out of there most days around 12.00. Dinner naturally runs a bit higher but still less than 20.00 a person. It's by far my favourite restaurant, it's relaxed (don't put on your sunday best) friendly and most importantly absolutely delicious! Thanks everyone at LIly Thai!

The service was very helpful with helping me to decide what to order, especially since my family and i are new to Thai food. They had no problem with making meal alterations, and the food was great! The prices were more reasonable than I expected, and totally worth it. This place has turned me on to Thai food, and I go whenever I can.
The best part was the food getting to our table so quickly. Aside from the expected saturday-night-delay, the food came exceptionally fast!
The atmosphere was impressive for such a small restaurant, and the hostess took care of us very well.

Finally, a new face in our quiet town! I finally convinced my boyfriend to try Lily's tonight for dinner and we were thrilled. There aren't many places in town we care to eat very often, Lily's is most definately our new favourite spot. The atmosphere is nice, the service was wonderful and the food - amazing! Fresh, hot, prepared perfectly and exactly how great Thai cuisine should be. We shared a number of dishes to see how there selection was and everything was great. One thing I'll be keeping all to myself next visit is the chicken dumplings with hot peanut sauce, we savoured every bite. The red curry had heat to it but wasn't overdone and was very flavourful, the shrimp fresh and not over-cooked. The pad thai was perfect.
Two added extras: they are getting a liquor licence and expect to have it within the next couple weeks, and I was surpised to learn they deliver within town and even as far as Rockwood.
Everything was great and we will be back!
I walked in to Lily, initially just to get a take out menu... but after looking at the selection, I had to get a dish to go!
I ordered the shrimp pad thai (I believe it was). For just under $11 it was a very generous serving, with ample left over for the next day's lunch. Although I did find it a tad too spicy, I should have remembered to ask for them to go easy on the spice - but I didn't, so it was my own fault. For the price, definitely the healthiest thing I could have bought from ANY restaurant in Acton (besides a salad).
The restaurant appeared clean and the host/servers were very friendly, even though I was just there for take out!
The only reason I haven't gone back yet - there was NO AIR CONDITIONING! Otherwise, my husband and I would probably have been there 4 or 5 times by now! Everytime we drive by, it appears to be full - which I am so happy to see a fresh, ecclectic face in the downtown core!
It was sooooooooo yummy! I can't wait to go back... We will definitely be regulars once the heat of the summer wears off!
