We dine here for dinner on a regular basis from late spring to early autumn. Never disappointed by anything! Friendly, attentive service, well-prepared, delicious food and a very inviting and cozy atmosphere. The pickerel is mouth-watering! Looking forward to experiencing our 5th year in Bobcaygeon at this picturesque gem, next spring!
What a wonderful atmosphere... so pleasant sitting on the water's edge! The cuising is excellent. We have been many times and always have said about some part of the meal, 'that is the best... I've ever tasted'!! The service is greatL! The desserts to die for! Presentation is spectacular!
have been here several times and always enjoyed the food and service but have started to notice a decline in the past few months. This visit was definately our last. The place was busy and understaffed and as a result the customers all had to suffer. My husband ordered tilapia but instead got chicken served to him while the rest of us got what we ordered. When he told the waitress he had ordered the tilapia she said "are you sure?" He said it was ok and would eat the chicken instead. In the past we always enjoyed the delicious desserts but this time the service was so slow we didn't bother to order any as it took so long to get our appetizers and entrees. The food is still good although it has gone down a notch but the service is a hairnet away from a drive thru......will definately not be returning!
This is the place to go in Bobcaygeon if you want amazing food, great service and a great view. There's a wonderful patio here and it's nice to just have a relaxing, non-rushed lunch or dinner. Anytime i've been here the food was perfect and we have a lot of fun with the wait staff. We've been comming here for about the last five years and will continue to do so. Probably our most favorite spot in Ontario. Oh yeah, do NOT forget to leave room for dessert!
Food was very good. Service was a bit slow as they were busy. Our waitress made an error with my son's order but another waitress brought the correct food right away when asked. We came by boat and were happy to sit right beside our bowrider watching the boat traffic go by as we ate. We will definitely be back.
We were so looking forward to a pleasant lunch out after an enjoyable girls' weekend. The service was extremely slow, and the servers were unfriendly and uninterested. When we asked for bread for the table, we were told it would take awhile as they didn't serve it at lunch--five small pieces arrived approx. 20 minutes later after we had finished our meal. The menu selection was very limited and the pasta entree was tasty (at over $16!) but the presentation was dreadful and sloppy. After visiting more than once for dinner and truly enjoying the experience, it's a shame that so much has changed. We will not be returning.
A great view good food, good service. one mark off for portions. Not huge.
We love this place and is the best place to dine in the area. On the river so views are great and can eat outside or in. Desserts are not to be missed. Only negative is that on the Sundays we have visited food has been slow to arrive. This has not been a problem during the week.
How nice it is to have fine dining in cottage country. As soon as the cottage opens we immediately make reservations at The Water's Edge. It's enough that the food is wonderfully creative but the staff seem to go over and above to make your visit really pleasurable.
