Please disregard ...

Please disregard the comments pre 2013 as they are for the restaurant that was previously at this location. Bolton Thai is a completely different restaurant with consistent results. We order from them at least twice a month and if our wallets or waistlines would permit, it would be far more often. The Tom Yum soup is delicious. Perfectly spicy, with the right amount of 'tang'. Pad thai, yellow curry, satay sticks, mango salad, pineapple curry, stir fry.. we have yet to be disappointed!

If you enjoy good food....STAY AWAY

We should have known as soon as we walked through the door to immediately turn around and walk back out. The place was empty! Being 9 months pregnant the first place I went was the bathroom, it was disgusting..... I had to hover over the toilet. Upon returning to the table there was a glass of warm water waiting for me, as well as some jasmine tea served in a cappuccino cup (how authentic)!! The menu was basic, not very good descriptions of the food that they offer. So we ordered simple things. How can you go wrong with spring rolls and calamari?? I will tell you, the spring rolls were nothing like described in their menu, I thought they tasted familiar to me, they are the same frozen ones that you can buy in the freezer section at Costco.... The calamari was extremely chewy, for anyone who knows seafood that means its over cooked. Who'd figure they could screw up fried rice? Well they did..... I ordered the crab fried rice which came with a meadly of canned peas, carrots and corn ato top it off the imitation crab meat was soggy. My hubby ordered the red curry off of the lunch menu, his plate arrived 15 minutes ahead of mine and was tasteless with mixture of chewy beef and frozen vegtables. I requested some hot sauce and soy, when the waiter brought the containers over to the table I took the lid off of the hot sauce to discover not only mold under the lid but there were plastic spoons for you to serve yourself with (classy).... There were chunks of food settled to the bottom of the bowl of soy..... I have never been to a restaurant that brings soy in a bowl. I don't know that there is any need to tell you we would never ever go back there. So disappointing!! So disgusting!!

Great food

We have had take-out from herr many times (10+) and have never been disapointed. The take-out is always quick and the service is great. We have not found there to be too much of a language barrier. The emerald chicken curry is delicious and the pad thai is good but mild. If you like it hot, just ask, they will spice it up for you. We have also had the red beef curry and it was also quite nice. We will keep going back again and again.

Worst Thai Food Ever!!!!!

Absolutely awful! The food was disgusting my daughter had the chicken fried rice and it was gross, frozen vegetables and something wrong with the chicken, no seasoning. My fiancee had the pad thai which was a seriously tiny portion for the price, barely enough to consider a meal and lacked flavor again the chicken was nasty. I had the beef with oyster sauce and vegetables and could not eat more than 3 bites. The cut of beef was horrible, it was chewy and flavorless and got stuck in my teeth! The appetizers were poor too, my daughter had the spring rolls which seemed to be fresh mad but lacked any flavor at all and the chicken Satay that my fiancee and I had tasted like pre-frozen sticks of grossness and they were not even cooked properly. It was a $60 meal that was a waste and we will never eat there again and we do not recommend it to anyone!

Clean....Flavorful....Language Barrier. Those...

Clean....Flavorful....Language Barrier. Those are the three words that I would use to describe Bangkok Thai. The food is good just nothing that will WOW you. The place is very clean and welcoming. The staff is really nice but there is a huge language barrier. The Fresh Spring rolls are delicious, the Red Curry Chicken is good but tastes like it's missing something. The Pad Thai was very nice. Overall it was a pretty good experience.

Quite good (especially condsidering it's Bolton)

I've been to 15+ thai restaurants in the GTA, and I'd rank this place 4th or 5th best. In fact everything I had was very good with the exception of the red curry, which was surprising because that's usually a no-miss dish. I find bbq beef is a hard dish to gt right but this place made it very well. The tamarind fish was deboned which is a nice touch. Pad thai was good and not ketchupy. Prices are pretty typical. I've been 3 times and I'll definitely be back to explore the menu.
