Kingsley Chinese Restaurant

This Restaurant is the worst restaurant to eat in. The food is ok but the service is so bad. I was yelled at by one of their staff for having order twice on a small dim sim item which I was more than willing to pay for it. But before I can even get a chance to do so the staff was already yelling at me. I was so shocked by what had happened and what was worst was it happened right in front of my 6yr old son.

Brampton Best(Street Talk)

Word out on street is this is Brampton's Best Old Style Chinese Restaurant. I brought another hungary man with us so party of 4. June 9th/2011 at 18:40hrs we are here to rate the restaurant. Free tea was served and order:(1)Shrimp in Lobster Sauce $14.00/ (1) Cantonese Noodle with BBQ Pork $8.00/ 1/2 Roast Duck $9.00/ (1) Beef with Chinese Broccoli $9.50/ (1) Mushroom Fried Rice $7.50/ (3) Shrimp Won Ton Soups $10.50/ (1) Crab Meat Corn Soup $4.00/ (4) Steam Rice Bowls $6.00....FOOD: The lobster sauce was watery canadian style..roast duck was perfect...fries noodle was perfect..beef and broccoli was old school(beef was tender)..rice was good light soya sauce was used-good!...Soups was homemade and very Yummy...Brampton Best is Still#1...I am comming back.....

After having to return the bad food we took out from another chinese restaurant - we drove over to Kingsley to get the same things only hopefully edible this time. Much better - i'm still not sure why lo mein is soaking in glue sauce - never had it like that in china town or other chinese places. Oh well - i'll only get lo-mein from places outside of Brampton. the rest was good - not amazing but decent - will be a while before i bother spending $40+ for a wednesday night treat for 2. We go here often for DimSum - very good - this was our first experience with dinner.

dim Sum

one thing you have to remember about eating at a chinese restaurant (espcially this one)is that you're not going to get 5 star service. their goal is to pump out food and have a high turn over for $$$$. if you can get past the service, then you'll have no problems. and don't just try eye contact with the servers, put your hand up. dim sum here is by far better than any other place in peel.

Dim Sum

The Dim Sum here is very good and comparable to the locations that which serve it in Mississauga. There is a large variety to pick from. The only only negative aspect of this restaurant is that service is lacking. It takes a while to get someone's attention in regards to the bill or getting the tea refilled.

Very disappointed

We were interested in trying this restaurant after reading the reviews and learning that all day dim sum was offered. I called ahead to find out what time they closed and was told 11 p.m. We drove in from Orangeville and arrived at 10:27 p.m. only to be told that we could not be seated as the restaurant closes at 11 p.m.?? When I explained that it was barely 10:30 I was told that they stopped seating people at 10:30 p.m. I then shared that I had called ahead and had driven in from Orangeville just to try this restaurant, but they did not care at all and basically dismissed us. What a disappointing experience!!

We are regulars at Kinsgley, going for dim-sum every weekend. Dinners at least once a month. We ordered 2 specials, the waiter said only 1 per table. We said we've ordered more then one before. She said she would ask a manager. He came over and rudely said, only 1 per table. I said, where do you have this in writing? He said we will do it soon. He was rude, and obviously doesn't care about customers, just the bottom line. We got up and left, and believe me, we have suggested this restaurant to several people. But none of them will be going there again after this.

Dim sum takes getting used to, many people don't...

Dim sum takes getting used to, many people don't appreciate it because you don't get waited on like you would at a restaurant. Its sometimes hard to flag someone down in order to get a drink or your bill. Besides that, it has a really fun atmosphere. The food is delicious and there are many options to choose from. I regularly have dim sum at this restaurant and will continue to do so :]

We drive in one hour to enjoy their delicious dim sum. What a find- dim sum all day. We've found the food to be consistently very good. The service sometimes is lacking however as a customer sometimes we have to speak up when a food item is forgotten. We will continue to enjoy this fine establishment.

First of all, we were over charged, because considering theres only two people eating about 7 items for DIMSUM, we cannot possibly get a bill that is about 50 some odd dollars. unless each dish was like 10 dollars. we tried to explain to those staff, and they gave us rude comments and spoke in chinese and basically ignored us. Anyway, we asked for a receipt, but it was so imformal. I'm so disappointed in this restaurant and I'm never going back again, and neither is my family or friends!

I have visited Kingsley Restaurant in various occasions,for Dim Sum and Diner.The food is absolutely delicious and fresh, the restaurant is very clean, the waiters are always willing to attend to you with a smile.I would definetly recomend this restaurant to anybody that enjoys the chinese cousine.

My family (close and extended) have been visiting this restaurant since it opened, always ordering off the excellent dim sum menu as well as a variety of other dishes (lemon chicken, beef noodles, sizzling seafood platter, curry pot). The food at this restaurant is so good its almost addictive, and as a result, my family makes it to Kingsley at least once a week. It also helps that they serve dim sum until closing and the prices are extremely affordable. The only drawback to this restaurant is the inconsistent service. While there are many servers who treat us kindly and with prompt service (including the owners), occasionally we are ignored for larger parties, or guests who speak in the servers' native languages. However, this has not stopped us from returning many many times...

Best Chinese food offered outside Toronto or Markham. Each dish we ordered was excellent including the daily specials. We go there whenever we visit Brampton.

The food is absolutely superb good flavours and everything. Its right next to a supermarket so you can do grocery shopping right after! All I have to say... Food: Deeeee-licious and ready to suggest to anyone (who likes chinese food) 8-)
