    Great Food, Atmosphere, and People

Fantastic fish and chips, reasonable prices, big servings, great atmosphere, and clean! Adding in the delightfully friendly staff, I am hard pressed to think of what else I could ask for in a Restaurant? I am glad you convinced us to eat-in rather than getting take-out. Thanks for setting up shop in Brighton.

    Great Food, Friendly Service

Thought I would try the new place in town. Just what Brighton needed. Haddock & Chips were great. Big portion of fish, light batter and fresh fries. Had the homemade rice pudding for dessert and it was the best I've had in a long time. Friendly service and I know I'll be back. Daily lunch menu as well with lots of options and a good price. My new favourite fish & chip place.

    Greasy.

I'm a big fan of fish and chips and endeavor to try fish and chips all over the Province. The first time I went to this place, I found the fish and the chips to be way too greasy. The usual culprit for the extra greasy food is that the temperature of the grease is too low. I mean, the food was soaked in grease. The batter on the fish was nice, however, again, too greasy... almost inedible. I tried The Flying Fish a second time hoping that the greasy food was just a result of opening/growing pains, but again, everything was too greasy. Seeing a daily special on the menu would be nice too! I'd really wish the best of success to all small businesses in Brighton, and I hope that this shop can change up the way it does its food. First impressions are everything in a small town and they did not leave a good first impression on us. Let's hope the third time we try is a charm. Turn the temperature up of the cooking oil and we'll be back in a month. Give this place a try and be the judge yourself.
