Food is wonderful. Staff are friendly. Steaks done to perfection. Prices are amazing. Absolutely the best "bang for your buck". This is the restaurant that we try and measure others up to.

satisfaction garanteed

the best steak you will ever have! would be nice to have fresh veg from the area instead of frozen peas and carrots. the salad bar is just right... fresh and not complicated (love the cheese and the pickles).

Honestly Amazing Home Cooking

We have been here twice now on our visits to the area and both times it was spectacular. The wait is sometimes a bit long as they seem understaffed but the food and service makes up for it. Everything is home made and delicious. Portions are large and more than fair for the price. All items we have had except the fish and chips were awesome, those just had far too much batter. The salad bar is quite good too, always fresh and a nice treat which you wait for the main event. My mom goes just for the double pork chops. My dad's steak was so large and delicious he was still eating it 2 days later. This place is a must stop.

Elvis ate here (or could have.) We were in town for the Elvis festival and I had a hankering for a good steak, so we made the 7km drive out to the Rock Dell. Not much to look at from the outside and quite frankly not great inside except that it looked like it had stopped in time in the early 60's. How appropriate. This atmosphere is also augmented by their choice of background music, (Not Elvis or rock and roll. You get enough of that in town on this weekend.). More "Theme from Summer Place" type. Which suited us fine. The first thing I noticed was that the entrees included soup and salad bar as well as rolls, a choice of potato, a pile of mushrooms and a veggie.. We both had the New York strip. (You have most of the usual steak choices but no rib eye which would have been our usual choice.) The food was also what you would expect in a 1960 restaurant. Ample, slightly overcooked carrots, unseasoned (rather tasteless) fries and an extremely spartan "salad bar". The steak, however, was a very generous 10 oz. (12 oz is also available.) and was very good. The salad bar was made up of a mixture of lettuce and cabbage with 4 choices of dressing plus pickles and cheese. However, in its way, appropriate to the occasion. The soup (beef and noodles in this case) was very good and possibly made from scratch. I asked the friendly waitress whether she knew how to make a vodka martini and she assured me that she did. The result was presented with both olives and a slice (not a twist), a slice of lemon hung on the side along with a glass of ice (in case I wanted to put it on the rocks I suppose.) However, it was drinkable. The house "red" was an OK Greek wine. Now, under normal circumstances, I might be a little upset over some of these deficiencies, but for some reason or other, everything came together nicely and the experience was just about what we wanted. After all, we were somewhere between Collingwood and Wasaga Breach not in downtown Toronto. Oh yes, did I mention that the prices were from the '60s also? I can't remember the last time I had a decent steak meal with cocktails and a half litre of wine for well under $100cdn for two. It should be noted here, that we lived through the '60s and my martini was a double so this review is slightly tainted by nostalgia and alcohol.

This is a great restaurant if you like meat and potatoes. The meal sizes are huge and the price is reasonable. The steak is great. It is not a fancy fine dining place but the food is hearty and very good. I have been many times and will definitely go back many more times.
