Terrible Service - Okay Food

The waitresses would rather gossip with each other than serve. I think they are all related, otherwise I don't know how they would keep their jobs. I just served myself the jam and other necessary things as they never seemed to come back. Oh and got my own cutlery from another table. When she delivered one of our breakfasts she said, "Oh he got your egg order wrong." Then she walked away without offering to fix it. I have been for breakfast maybe 5 times at someone elses insistence, and it has become a standing joke over how rude/inattentive the waitress will be. If you are a breakfast person who enjoys home fries, they do skimp on that part of the meal. Try another breakfast place...

NEVER AGAIN!

Arrived on a Thursday around 1 p.m. for the All-Day breakfast. We ordered blueberry pancakes and were advised that there would be a $2.00 charge per order because it was after breakfast hours! While waiting the server was drying utensils next to the dining area and throwing them in the bin, this loud clinging and clanging went on for minutes while she complained to another staff member about the attire of an absent employee. It was an uninviting atmosphere to say the least. Our pancakes were undercooked - it was more like eating cookie batter - we were very disappointed. The server asked if we would like our coffees refilled, we said no and she attempted to refill them anyway. We were the Only customers in the place and they were refilling the sugar packets at the tables. Instead of waiting for us to finish, another server reached over our plates to change ours. The bathroom was dirty and smell like a sewer. For two orders of barely edible pancakes, two coffees, and two headaches, it cost us $23.67 We will NEVER return to this place.

I have been to this restaurant in the past and enjoyed the food. Over the years it has gotten worse. I think either the cook doesn't care how the food tastes or how it looks. My french fries looked like they were sitting in the heat lamp for a couple of hours, they were wet and soggy and my vegetables were mushy. The cofffee is bitter. I had a piece of chocolate pie, the chocolate portion had a skin on it which means it was old and sat uncovered in the refrigerator longer than it shoudl have. Unless the food changes me and my family will never return

This restaurant is a family operated one and you can tell by how great not only the service is by the friendly staff, (who remember you when you return), but also by the most delicious home made food you can find anywhere in town.You can get take out or sit down and have a quiet meal whatever you choose. It is ready for family or large parties with or without a reservation. Great atmosphere for adults and children alike.

Excellent, friendly, home cooking at its best

The servers are extremely friendly and welcome you as if you are old friends. The food is the best and the atmosphere makes you feel at home. People also enjoy bringing their children as well as their collegues to dine because they are accommodating even at the last minute.

Our group of 7 was very satisfied with the service and value for money. Our guests were from Eastern Quebec and commented that the blueberries were wild. I'm confident I speak for everyone in recommending this restaurant.

Most generous Surf and Turf I've had anywhere, also a huge fan of their Chicken Parmigiana. Hubby swears by their Ribs, it's one of their specialties. I am confident in reccommending their Rib combo which is a combination of pork and beef ribs. Utterly delicious. My whole family loves their pies (esp pecan), not a pie person myself, but they do a chocolate one that I actually like. Only area they could use improvement on is their service is a bit slow, not only in the restaurant but in pickup, I figure If I give an hours notice that I'm picking up supper, and I show up and it's sitting on the counter waiting for me, and it still takes 20 minutes to get someone to come take my money, your lucky I didn't walk out. Sinct then their take out has improved, and other then being a bit slow bringing your rounds of drinks, their service isn't as bad now as it used to be.

My recommendation is, go for lunch. Every lunch I've had was great, three courses for $8. But everytime we went for supper the night was a dud. This latest, she told us they only had rib steaks, which turned out to be tough old cows, and as we were leaving she told us, Guess what? our steak order just came in (at 7:00 on a weeknight?) Tough steaks seem to be the order of the night there, but the ribs at lunch are excellent.

Our group of 6 visited for supper. Four of our party ordered baked potato with sour cream. We were talking among ourselves when our food was brought to the table by our very friendly, seemingly efficient, server. I put the sour cream on my baked potato and proceeded to eat. Yuck! It was not sour cream but tartar sauce. Two others had the same. When our server came around to ask if everything was OK, we told her it was tartar sauce, not sour cream. Her response? She actually laughed and said that the same thing had happened to a lady the night before who had said it tasted terrible. She then walked away, not even offering to replace the ruined baked potato. Would I eat there again? Most definitely not!!!
