BED BUGS!!!!

I feel terrible when I give a bad review, but this place needs a wake up call. One day last week our group parks at the back and walking to the entrance we see 2 cooks smoking. The problem was they looked like pure filth. Dirtiest work clothes ive ever seen and who knows how much bacteria is they have. Next our server was lousy and miserable. Hated her job or hates life. Or both. Next our food was edible but definitely no love or energy was put into the our food. Then when you think no more bad can happen, something falls from the ceiling. Are you ready, a friggin bed bug, yes folks a bed bug. Need I say more people. Upon further investigation the building has apartments above and a source informed me they are infested with bed bugs. I hope someone takes the proper actions necessary to fix these problems ASAP.

the food was typical pub food (although we were disappointed when trying to order items that were on the menu but not available??) it's average tasting, average in presentation. the service was brutal. everyone in there was flagging down waiters to get served. perhaps more staff is needed on a saturday night at 8pm? it was very slow..we were in there for more than 2 hours simply because we had to play where's waldo with our server. and to top it off? when he brought back my change? he had already skimmed just over $3 off the top. so i opted not to tip. if you aren't going to give me the opportunity to decide how much you get tipped, you only get what you take.

Terrible.

I went to the collins with 5 of my friends, were were ignored and our service was terrible. we were sitting at a booth, and we had to visit the bar area to get more drink's. Our food also took forever to get (above average) .

Worst service we have ever had. We live nearby and have been to the Collins twice. The first time we had to seat ourselves in a nearly empty restaurant and left 15 minutes later after no service. Finally deciding to give it another shot we went back, this time with lowerd expectations. We were greeted by a friendly waitress who told us to sit anywhere in the empty dining area (9:30 on a wednesday) 5 minutes go by and a party of four arrives, is seated, and givin menus while we still have had no sign of our waitress. Once our food and drink orders were taken the drinks came quickly and the food shortley after. Wife had a chicken parm wrap with overcooked cold fries that tasted like microwaved leftovers. I ordered 2lbs of chicken wings that came dry cajun when I asked for hot. After the food arrived we never heard from or saw our waitress again. Many unsucessfull attempts at trying to flag down 3 of the waitresses talking by the bar later I had to go to the bar and ask for some service. As I walked back to the table and the waitresses talked under there breath I decided to never go to this terrible place again.

I have lived in Dundas, Ontario for most of my life and have visited the Collins Brewhouse many times. I use the term ‘visited’ as if I am visiting someone’s home for the simple reason, each and every member of the Collins Brewhouse staff welcomes visitors’ as if they are family. It is a quaint pub and restaurant that adds more charm to the town of Dundas. The service is just as incredible as the food they serve. The southwest chicken wrap and chicken wings are super, I would without a doubt recommend these two dishes. Also, I have attended staff parties in the basement of the Collins Brewhouse. The accommodations that they provide such as; pool tables, a personal served bar, a big screen television, and food served in a buffet self-serve format, provide customers with fun and entertaining memories. As you can see in my review for the Collins Brewhouse, I would most definitely recommend this restaurant to all age groups. If you like good company, good food and a great atmosphere this is the restaurant to check out!

Watch your bill

Normally I dine in the restaurant and had no problems. BUT TAKE OUT beware. They overcharged on our order both times I have had take out and both times no apologies instead I had to press the issue to show them their mistake (charged to many items). Was this on purpose????? Two times in a row seems too coincidental. NOT AGAIN!

Great burgers - Monday nights!

The gourmet burger was amazing! All of us loved choosing what kind we'd get, and were so thrilled by the flavour explosions we experienced. THey accomodated our party size well, and all of us can't wait to go back for more great burgers on Monday nights (1/2 price burger night)

Not worth it.

The atmosphere was nice and warm with the wood decor. Everything looked clean and new, which was nice. When our party arrived, the restaurant was relatively empty. Our orders were taken rather quickly by a friendly, young waitress who was clearly new at her job. She was enthusiastic, but not overly so. Sadly, our appetizers arrived about 32 minutes after we had ordered them. The spinach dip was bland and covered in cheddar cheese, even tasted sort of watery to me, and the bruschetta was, well... bruschetta, average at best. I ordered chicken penne and was reminded of the spinach dip, it was also bland and covered in cheese. I understand that I ordered an Italian style dish in a Pub style restaurant, but I did have extremely low expectations. Barely a hint of garlic, a small amount of diced chicken bits, a totally bland tomato pesto sauce and a heap of cheese on top. Girlfriend had a blackened chicken wrap which she didn't really care for and I can't remember what our friend's ordered but I know they didn't go crazy over it. The impression Collin's Brewhouse left on me was. "Come to Collin's if you want below average food, just remember, you're on our time."

Having spent my life in Dundas , I have visited this establishment hundreds on times thru different customers. Current atmosphere/decor is the best it's been. The food is only slightly above average. Whats expected for a Pub/resturant. The only really issue I have is the service. It wasn't bad , it was horrible. We waited easily 15-20 min at the bar money in hand while the staff sat stood around yakking with each other .Even after looking at us sitting there. When we finally did get service , the attitude was one of contempt that we were hasseling them by being there. Overall the staff acted as unfriendly and indifferent to customer service. In reality it's a young staff with not enough maturity to know and appreciate customer service. It's not hard to figure out: friendly welcoming attitude and good service = repeat customers !!!

The Spinach dip is awsome! The fries are nicely seasoned and the wrap was good. The Quesidillas are awesome. Must be a fan of bacon tho if you order the bacon Ques. The Chicken Ques I've had before and its by far the best i've ever had.

I loved the restaurant, the food, the service and the friendliness of the staff, I would of loved to of given this establishment a perfect score, however I was disappointed in the uncleanliness of the washrooms. Not impressed. Fix that up and it will be perfect. Not going to stop me from coming, however a necessary evil. Thanks.

This place is great for party's in the downstairs...I had my 13th birthday party here and it was awesome. After i had my party a few of my other friends decided to have their party here. The space is great as well as the food!! :)

I have been here a number of times. The food is very good with good size portions. During our lunch there we had too much food and ended up taking it home. I will say as others have, that the service is inconsistant. We have had very quick service but have also had very long waits as well. I tend to agree that the televisions could be turned down as it is very distracting and difficult to carry on a conversatation. The food makes it worthwhile for a return visit though.
