The only taste of California you’ll get at California Pub & Grill is the California feta and salad sandwich; the rest of the menu could not be further away from that of The Golden State! The dishes revolve around the best of the Eastern European table with a few North American favourites added in.
When Janette Damufka took over the neighbourhood spot in 2007, it didn’t seem necessary to alter the name. “We didn’t want to make any changes because it was a well-known neighbourhood spot," she laughs. “But we serve mostly Eastern European food. Our cooks are all ladies form former Yugoslavia.They all have very interesting professional backgrounds. They all worked in high-end restaurants there and in resorts on the Adriatic coast.”

waitress was rude and the service was awful.waitress was to busy talking to the regulars.food was ok but took over an hour to come.
