You would never guess by the outside appearance or by the minimalist restaurant decor, how good the food is here. Authentic Japanese experience in every way. Fresh sushi is extremely well prepared and presented. Every dish expertly combines complementary flavours that surpasses anything else in the city. A must for the sushi lover.

Fantastic meal! This is as authentic as it gets...

Fantastic meal! This is as authentic as it gets for Japanese cuisine, complete with Japanese staff. At first impression, the location does not fit the picture of fine dining; walking by this restaurant you would think it was any other sushi restaurant. Even upon first entry, the decor of this place is very simple. We made reservations for this place, which I think is a must, as it only seats a maximum of 30. The menu is very simple, 3 set meals at $80, $100, and $120. We chose the $100 menu, which was brought to us at different intervals, with each time the server explaining what was being served. Delicous, delicious, delicious! The food was unique and well prepared, nothing that I have ever had in regards to Japanese cuisine. Each dish had a differnt taste, texture, and aroma to it that made this an experience on its own. After the first few bites, I realized why the decor was so simple, so as to not out-do the meal. Surprisingly, the entire meal filled us up, even though they seemed to be small portions (which they weren't). The only bad thing I could say about this restaurant is the first impression I got walking in was a hint of fishy smell (which didn't really bother us...I mean, we were there to eat seafood). A great restaurant, a must to visit if it is within your budget. This is Japanese fine dining at its best!

Definitely a must-try. The quality of the food and passion of the chef is above all the other japanese restaurant we tried. They have 3 types of omakase to try. Even the less expensive one is worth the try because you get the same kinds of sushi and sashimi. The Toro just melts in your mouth and the dessert is delicate!

The food is fresh and unique. It’s the most innovative Japanese Cuisine I’ve ever tasted in my life! I loved the sushi and sashimi selection. Each dish’s flavours are distinct and multi-layered. It's a bit on the pricy side.

Probably, the best, most unique high end Sushi joint in the city. This place is better than sushi place I've been to in Vancouver. The only non-positive thing is the atmosphere is a bit bland.
