Amazing! My co-worker took me there saying "they have the best lasagna... IN THE WORLD." He was right! Get the lasagna, you won't regret it! Had a great caesar salad beforehand with home-made bread and olive tapenade. Also delicious. I went today, I'm going again tomorrow and taking three other people with me.

Based on reviews I read, I was excited to try this restaurant. I called and asked if this was a romantic restaurant for a birthday dinner for 2. "Oh yes" I was told. Arrived to a so-so outside appeal. The patio had ugly tables, no umbrellas (unlike website pic). Not inviting at all. Sat inside in the middle of a small room, patrons at every table. No privacy, in fact most people whispered or just stared at each other. I found it awkward. The room was lit horribly, could not hear the music. Somebody spent 5 minutes scraping chairs across a floor in another room. And immediately my boyfriend saw that a table blocked the emergency exit!!!! Old tables, no flowers (unlike website pic) I didn't have a fork and had to ask. We ordered shrimp bruschetta. We couldn't eat it. 6 shrimp in a yellow liquid with a few green onion pieces. Shrimp was so rubbery, sauce horrible, We are not fussy, but this was ridiculous. We had no idea what this was supposed to be. Soup? I noticed after that there was a choice of sauce. We were not asked to pick one. $13 we ate one shrimp each. Ordered wine which was served in juice glasses. How romantic. Waitress came back to ask again what we ordered. ?? At least the wine was good. Another waitress came and took away the appetizer, the small plates, all our utensils/napkins and my wine, which I grabbed back off her tray. Hello, I was just served it 10 minutes ago and there was still $3 of wine left of the $8.25 5oz I received!!! I noticed and was concerned that everyone was taking food home, the servings didn't look that big. Why were they not finishing their meals? The lady beside us sent back her meal, too greasy she said. When our meals came, our waitress had to go bring us silverware again (it shouldn't have been taken we were told) By this point we couldn't stop laughing, it was so awful. Luckily our meals were good. Although I ordered penne arribiata with a meatball and did not receive a meatball. Could not bother to ask for it. Just wanted to get out of there. Waitress then brought us each a canoli to apologize for the appetizer. "Yeah, the chef said he overcooked it" WHAT???? Then why serve it? The canoli was okay. Happy birthday to my boyfriend.
We were coming to Grimsby from Sudbury to attend a family wedding. We called in the morning to make a reservation, and they had no problem taking our large group of 22 people. The owner, Tony, who took the reservation, was very accomodating to us and did his best to seat us all together, despite several changes in our requests. Upon arrival, we were seated and served quickly, and the food was phenomenal. We had a variety of pastas and pizzas throughout the group, as well as the bruschetta and the antipasto. The table bread was great, and we all agreed that the olive tampanade was phenomenal. Try the venetian cannoli - we all did. Not only was our meal great, but when we left, Tony gave us a little box of cookies & pastries to have with our coffee. This was a great experience and we would love to go again.
Love this restaurant. It's just like a cafe in Italy. Food is fantastic, atmosphere is lovely, live guitar while you eat, outdoor patio. A great restaurant where they let you linger with your conversation, dont' pester you while you eat, in fact coming back to check up oh your table would be a nice treat.! I've been here for dinner, lunch and an mid morning espresso, and have never had a complete with our meals. I highly recommend going.

Cibo has a special hold on my heart. The atmosphere of the murals on the walls and the Italian music playing takes you away to a place which doesn't feel like Canada. I frequent this gem on average of once a week. The food has always been incredible. I have never been disappointed. Occasionally though they can get busy which slows down the service but the food is more then worth the wait.

I was there several times this summer with my sons, age 12 and 16. Both boys said it was the best pizza they ever had! That's saying something when the 16 year old is the self proclaimed pizza connoisseur of Niagara. The staff did their job in a very proffessional manner. The prices are very resonable. I put great stock in what music a food establishment plays while I am there - I loved it. Not overpowering, a fair variety and a good background for conversation. I would not hesitate to recommend the Cibo to anyone.
Since the day it opened I was extremely excited! Finally, real homecooked Italian food! Made with love! Tony enjoys to cook and you really can tell! Especially once you try everything on the menu! All of the staff are awesome. I love all the food. The oven baked meatball panino is a great lunch choice as well as the pizza. Ok, Im hungry just talking about it. I'm going to Cibo's now. Ciao!
Amazing food that is completly affordable. The staff was great and the food was super quick. The pasta sauce was so good that I think they would make a fortune by selling it. I would recommend this restaraunt to anyone!

This restaurant is by far one of the best I have ever been to. I have had my share of Italian food and let me tell you if you want fresh, fabulous tasting home made italian food this is the place to go. Everything from the food to the atmosphere was excellent. I would recommend this to anyone. It is the best kept secret in Grimsby !
