I, or We, feel Squirrel’s is a fabulous restaurant. Why? Because the food is always good and hot; the staff are friendly and accommodating; and the atmosphere is what a pub/restaurant should be, interesting and inviting.
Their breakfasts, and we have eaten breakfasts all over Guelph, bring us back morning after morning: the quality of food and the friendly atmosphere gets one’s day off to a great start.
Squirrel’s fits our comfort zone. A cross section from all walks of life, ages, and disciplines. At weekends the place bustles with University students, seniors, families, all relishing the atmosphere and good food. The friendly staff must take credit for knitting this diverse array of customers into a cordial gathering of diners; comfortable with each other’s presence.
Living in the South end of Guelph, we feel fortunate to have Squirrel’s on our doorstep.

need i say more, waited an hour for a toasted blt, that was made with bacon ends, the ambiance was outstanding! haha,, some of the reviews on here are questionable, owners? friends of family?, best steak in town , a bit of a stretch, frozen food, also was here once late night and got fries, ugh, frozen and the fryer oil needs to be change
I have been a long time Squirrely patron for my Saturday morning breakfast. What keeps me coming back is the friendly easy atmosphere, great staff, & competent hands-on owners. And of course the best Steak & Eggs ! I have often commented to the owner how he can provide such a great cut of meat, and portion size for what they charge. This is the quality & size of steak you would be very happy to receive at dinner at a "finer-dining" restaurant at 2x the cost. As they say, Steak ''n Eggs is the Breakfast of Champions !
Since my husband and I moved to Guelph 5 years ago, we have been lunching at Squirrely's at least 2 times a month. The service we receive is always fast, and the staff know you the minute you arrive (love you Steph!). We have had the pleasure of tasting countless items on the menu and have NEVER been disappointed. To my surprise ... the menu had been revamped with a few more great choices, so I ventured out from the usual. Enter ... THE STEAK FAJITA!!! Folks, if you have had a fajita anywhere, I would dare to compare this rival! This is undoubtably the BEST steak fajita I've ever had!! They offer it with a side of BBQ sauce for dipping, but honestly, the Fajita stands alone. What a great addition to the menu ... I'm hooked on yet another choice!! Thanks Squirrley's!!!
