It's weird this place has such high ratings, I went in on a Sunday to a mainly empty restaurant, we were going to stay and eat, but ended up taking take-out because of how empty the place was. Two dishes set me back just a bit more than 25 dollar. The rice was just adequate, but nothing special. The garlic ribs were the kind you could get in Chinese supermarkets as takeout, I feel overcharged for not a great deal of food. If you know anything about Chinese food, don't order take out from this place.
6 of us went there this evening to celebrate my mother's birthday.
The service was prompt and friendly. We ordered off the group menu (dinner for 5+). All of the dishes were huge, hot, fresh and tasty! Nothing was greasy. The spring rolls were amazing. My parents are big chinese food fans and my dad has been to MANY different chinese restaurants and he called it excellent. We will definitely go back. Our total bill, including alcohol and tax was $150. That was for 6 adults who left stuffed, and we took home a pile of food!! I highly recommend this restaurant.
HUGE shrimp.
All of the food was excellent. Only negative observation was that the server seemed a little sick of work. Maybe caught her at the end of her shift?
Decided to try it out after walking by it so many times in Westdale. I was not disappointed. The portion sizes for the dinner for two were enormous. My girlfriend and I took home two huge takeout boxes after we couldn't possibly eat anymore. The beef and broccoli was the highlight. The broccoli was not soggy like I've had at so many places. It was cooked Al Dente and retained all its great texture and colour. The beef was very tender and had great flavor too. We also had a very nice wonton soup as an appetizer, I've only had very plain wonton soup before, and I enjoyed the added texture of the vegetables they added, thought it was a nice touch. Overall great experience.
This place is great for both meat-lovers and vegetarians. There is a good selection of food. I came here twice and was always happy with their service. The food is fresh, healthy and delicious. The spring (vegetarian) rolls are the best I ever had in Hamilton.

Portion sizes are very generous. You'll definitely have leftovers. The satay or scechwan dishes are really delicious. I ask to make it spicy. Fast friendly service for takeout ... I usually pop in to Shoppers Drug mart accross the street while I wait. For eat-in, surprisingly beautiful decor for the prices. Highly recommended if you like chinese food.
I LOVE this place!
This is by far the best Chinese restaurant in this city. It's beautifully decorated, the service is incredible, the food is fresh, flavourful and very good quality, and the price is totally reasonable! I've been here multiple times with my sister, friends, my husband... every time it has been wonderful. The food comes with amazing speed, but it's exceptionally fresh. Try the Cantonese Style Fillet Mignon. I've lived in Alberta, and this is some of the best beef you can find anywhere. It's super tender, just slightly rare, and if you ask for it spicy, it's even better.
My husband and I also liked this place so much we used it last year for our wedding rehearsal dinner. The staff accomodated us very well and even with an order for over 20 people, the food came incredibly quickly and the portions were huge!
Every time I go to this place, I love it a little more. I would HIGHLY recommend it!
My boyfriend and I love this place. It's Westdale location is close to home, and although the prices are a bit more then other Chinese places it is SO worth it.
We never feel "gross" after, which sometimes Chinese food does. Leftovers are awesome, and the portions are so big there is always some left for tomorrow.Quality is outstanding - quality ingredients, that are well prepared. The Honey Coconut chicken is outstanding, and anything with brocolli is amazing. So simple, yet so delicious.
Staff are very kind and gracious, and always seem appreciative of my patronage.
My friends and I went out for lunch one day. The restaurant is tastefully decorated, with a calming atmosphere. The server was fantastic! She took time to explain all the different dishes to us and even recommended some of the most popular. Our wait for food was not long, and the food arrived nice and hot. It was delicious!! Definitely the best Chinese food I have ever had (and I've had my share of it!). You MUST go if you have the chance. It is a fair price, and the portions are big and the food is absolutely fantastic!
PS - Make sure to order the ginger shrimp!
I had the deluxe seafood lunch which is a bit pricey at $13.95 but fully worth it! I was stunned when my plate arrived: a circle of broccoli on the outer part of the plate, and in the middle the vegetable fried rice, topped with several small grilled salmon filets, three scallops, and two jumbo shrimps. The taste of all components was outstanding, especially the grilled salmon was without competition. Definitely a must for any seafood lover in Hamilton. The "normal" lunch options are great too (I shared a bit with the others in my party) and much less expensive ($6.50 to $8.50 per person). A great restaurant with very nice atmosphere and staff!
