great local spot

one of our usual food places, as we can walk to it, and the food is good. The owners have a great attitude (desert first for the kids!), are very friendly, as are the staff. ( Only thing I would change is maybe the menu could change up a little more often.) Just an example-my 5 year old came in holding a birthday card she received in the mail that day, and we were going for lunch. The owner came and talked to us for a bit, engaging my daughter in a little talk, then after lunch, the whole serving staff, plus owner, came out of the kitchen singing happy birthday to my little girl, with a free plate of deserts, with her name written in chocolate. How awesome is that?!?

This restaurant has only been open for just over...

This restaurant has only been open for just over a year, but seems to draw the crowd. (Especially for Saturday breakfast.) Their Alcona breakfast is great value. Their breakfast skillets are expensive, but could feed 3 people. Probably the best breakfast place within miles. I find their lunch & dinner prices a little high. The food probably deserves the price, but the atmosphere is definitely breakfast & possibly lunch.
