Great family Restaurant. Friendly service and tasty well prepared food.

Unfortunately the restaurant has lost its quality over the years. The service has decreased tremendously and the delivery service his sadly terrible. I’ve been a long time client but cannot continue to visit this establishment.

My husband found 30 plus hairs in his food today, as did his co-workers. The hairs were an inch long and very course. He thinks they were rodent hair - STAY AWAY!!!!

My husband and I get take-out here all the time. We love it. Always very fresh, hot, and fast. The complaint I have is the spring rolls are very greasy and the noodles I ordered twice and both time were one big glob of starch. So I never ordered either one again and have been very happy.

The best Vietnamese out west. Decent Chinese. Busy on week-day lunches and popular for take-Putin evenings. Tacky but typical decor for Vietnamese. Go for the rare beef soup, shrimp or spring rolls and the 184 if you like medium hot

While eating in at Phu-Yen is somewhat awkward (usually empty, uncomfortable), their food is to die for. Whenever in the mood for chinese / vietnamese, this restaurant is sure to please. A little on the pricey side, as most chinese takeout places tend to be, this restaurant serves as a delicious occasional treat for any not-so-daring food family.

Regular stop for lunch. Always good service and very good food. Small and almost always busy but it turns over quick and the food does not suffer. Great for take-out as well.

First I must clarify. The Service for the size of the restaurant is excellent and the atmosphere is what you'd expect but the food is really superb. I have been eating at phu-yen pretty regularly for the last 3 years and it's never let me down. They have the best pho I've had in a long time, and their other soups are fantastic. I've tried a lot of their dishes and while some aren't to my taste, the quality of the dish has always been excellent.

Fantastic Chinese Food

I've eaten at Phu-Yen a number of times now, and the quality has always been spot on! My wife and I were pleasantly surprised at finding such a delicious Chinese food restaurant in the suburbs. They have quick turn-around on take-out, and while the restaurant is small it appears to be kept in good-order. The staff are quite friendly and attentive. All in all this is one of the better Chinese food restaurants I've eaten at.

Great Place in Kanata

First of all, I cannot believe someone would give the food, service and the amenities 1, just based on their food being "too spicy". What an idiot. This place is great. I work in the area and it is one of the best places to eat for lunch. It can get busy, so you may need to reserve.

Had the Curry Beef which I have now had twice and am addicted. Tried the Phu-Yen rolls which I thought would be cooked, but are a cold roll. They are great anyways!!!! Curry is hot, but not too hot as I am not a big fan of blow you away HOT... so if you want an experience. Try this place. Very friendly, clean and busy!

The food is awesome! The staff is friendly and the restaurant is very clean! Their Phu Yen rolls are very delicious <rice rolls with pork slices and mint leaves>. I have tried their soup, a couple of rice, vermicelli dishes with no complaints, all of the dishes have been very good!! I have only been for lunch but I am sure that dinner is just as good. I would highly recommend this restaurant to any one who lives Vietnamese food. Steve
