    Lost Quality & Raised Prices

This place used to be a gem in Kingston, it's been a few months since I last visited and I was really surprised at the poor food quality. The place used to be packed at lunchtime so we arrived early and it was empty. They soup I ordered with chicken, pineapple & shrimp used to have lots of chicken and this order came with 3 thin slices of chicken, one larger sized shrimp and a tomato in broth with 3-4 piece of pineapple - all for $9.50. My friend ordered a dish and also had 3 pieces of thinly sliced chicken and the coriander was still gritty. We both said aloud this place has really changed and a gentleman at another table commented that he noticed the prices have all increased $2-3 and the quality has taken a hit. He then suggested another Cambodian restaurant closer to downtown that we'll try & I'll report back. Wont be returning.

    So tasty!

Have visited many times in the past year, including visits with friends who are from Montreal and can't get good Cambodian food there. The takeout is always ready on time and attentive to any exceptions or modifications we request. Tip: ask for a slice of lime with the pad thai and squeeze it over the top - makes all of the wonderful flavours crank up another notch. The servers are very friendly and everything is nicely plated or well packed for takeout. The pork salad rolls are a favourite: light, fresh, flavourful and very low fat. The pad thai is a fave and we've recently started getting the vegetarian version with tofu, which is excellent. Please give Siem Reap a try, you'll want to come back often.

    Fresh and Delicious!

Always a great place! We have ordered and picked up and we have gotten take out, both were very good and HOT! The dishes are always fresh, lots of meat and lots of crisp vegetables. Just a perfect amount of curry and sauces to go with the rice. Not soupy, very flavourful. My favourites are the red curry chicken, the spring rolls (sauce is to DIE for!) the citrus chicken and the pad thai. Will continue to go here for sure!

Excellent Food, Friendly staff. This is the go to place in kingston for Thai food. My wife and I have been to every restraunt for Thia in kingston and I have been at many in Toronto and the food here is one of the very best and I would say the best in kingston. A must if you enjoy Thai - Cambodian Food

    Never disappoints me.

Went to Siem Reap last night, on my home from an appointment. And picked up a quick meal to bring home. The service was excellent.. they know my hubby by name when he goes in to get the food... Love this place!! I love the fact that this is a wonderful, little nearby establishment. With a friendly staff, and some of the best Thai food we've had in a LONG time. We've been coming here since they opened. And will continue to come for as long as they are here. The menu is quite varied, but that will suit just about anyone that comes in to see what they are like. You will not be disapointed at all.

    Soupy Pad Thai

Had lunch there one day. Ordered pad thai. It was very soup like. I've never had pad thai that was so liquid based. If I wanted soup with noodles, I would have gone for pho. I'm willing to give it one last chance to try another item on the menu. Prices at Pat's are cheaper though. The only problem with Pat's is that it's further away for me and it seems to be always super busy there.

    Fabulous Flavours!

We always have a great meal at Siem Reap. I will admit they're a little miserly with their meat and veggie portions and the price is a little higher than elsewhere but the sauces and soup flavours are wonderful. My husband and I have been to most of the other Thai places in town and I find their curries to be oily and unpleasant but Siem Reap has tasty flavour explosions that set them apart. Restaurant fills up to the brim at meal times, go early or go later. My favourites are the red curry (with veg added), yellow curry, Soup A, a hot and sour shrimp soup and the spring rolls are the best in town. Yum!

    NO customer service skills whatsover!

We ONLY eat at Siem Reap out of sheer desperation. Honestly, it's pure laziness on our part, because if we would just drive a little further, Phenom Phen's service & atmosphere are 100 times better (portions and taste are even better -- on a side note, Siem Reap is so cheap, they barely give any meat in their meat dishes!). The waitress was simply rude. On top of her poor attitude, she worked at a glacial pace and acted like she owned the place (which her family probably does, but that does not give her the right to treat people with such disrespect). Use this place only in desperate times and even in that case, only for take-out; unless you want to deal with an arrogant, unworldly "waitress" --I use that term lightly, she did not know the first thing about being a waitress. Two big thumbs down for this place.

    Sub-par when compared

I've tried many of there dishes and when I compare them to other restaurants that have the same dish, Siem Riep's just doesn't have the same quality or quantity, most of there curry dishes are very watered down and barely any meat, and come with a small serving of steamed rice.

    Soup G..Need I say more

This tiny little place bangs out some great food. It has a decent size menu but some items are so good it is hard to try somthing new. Soup G is an item that blows the rest away, tons of flavor and a huge portion. Goes great with salad rolls or the fired spring roll. This is a great take out joint, not many tables for those looking to eat in

    SIMPLY AMAZING

I'm a curry addict and I try to make it myself at home, but honestly with siem reap around the corner from my house its too tempting. Why would I make it when I can get the best thai-cambodian food in kingston in 10 minutes! I love the sauce, there is just the right amount to soak it all into your rice. My plate is clean when I leave and I often run my finger around the take out container. I'm most likely their best customer!
