I think one of the best chinese restaurants in the Kingston area. Food is superb and every time we have gone the service is outstanding. Only down side is we wish it had wine and beer service.
Absolutely the best Chinese food in Kingston. Wonderful service. Food is always perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned and exactly what a Chinese dinner should be. The veggies are crisp and not soggy like many Chinese places, the food is piping hot and it is not drowning in sauce. When ordering meat and veggie combinations, there is always lots of meat unlike other places. We love the food and the service!
The experience depicted in the review below is not the norm for this establishment. Every time I've had food there, i.e. take-out or dine-in I have found that I received a lot of tasty food at a low price: I always got what I ordered. In addition to the great value and taste, the service is always wonderful and fast. For example when picking up a take-out order it has always been ready (less than 10-15mins every time), and my girl friend and always have a friendly conversation with the server. In fact thinking about silver wok makes me want to go there right now..... yeah think I'll head there right now.
Worst service possible. I waited for almost an hour for my food. Got the wrong order. Waitress did not apologize, did not tell the owner or manager to assist us. She took the food and is like, oh w/e, let me go tell kitchen to get you the right food in the worst tone possible. Then we went to speak to the owner, and she literally showed this is the last thing she cares about us and walked away. HORRIBLE SERVICE!never going back again.
worst service! First of all they made us wait for 45 minutes to bring just the starters. We found chicken pieces in their vegetarian dishes. All of us ordered only vegetarian dishes so there was no place for confusion. And on top of all this the waitress behaved too rude to us. She didn't even bother to inform this to their head cook or the manager. None of them (neither the waitress nor the manager) apologized to us. Very very bad service. Will never go back there ever again.
Great chinese food, best in kingston. for me its a garbage location, should definatly be another one uptown, (because im lazy) the food is so good it makes my mouth water thinking about it.
Great food and service. The people there are really nice and remember my order even if I haven;t been there in awhile. You can really taste the quality in their dishes and until recently I didn't know that they never cook anything until it's ordered, which explains why I have a bit of a wait when they're really busy!
The is the absolute BEST chinese food that I've ever had. It's definitely my favourite, and it's the one I always crave. I always get the same order, so I can't personally comment on their other dishes, but I have heard great things from friends. Everything is always really fresh and flavourful, and you get quite a good value for your money. One dish gives me at least two meals. Delivery is also fast and affordable. Definitely recommended overall.
I have gotten takeout from here a few times and it has been consistently good. The staff is very friendly and the specials are very well priced. I am used to the more HK chinese food, but this is definately the best that you'll find in Kingston.
It I would say in my opion the best chiniese food restaurant in the city of Kingston. We live about 15 minutes north of Kingston and we drive all the way downtown if we are having chinese for supper. You always get excellent service when you are there and they are very friendly on the phone. I can honestly say that we have never had a bad meal from there ever.
I always come to this place when I don't want to cook. The food is affordable and taste great. It is as close as it will get for real Chinese food in Canada. The owner A-yi is a very nice lady. I really like her.

By FAR the best chinese food in Kingston... and I have tried them all. Food is served very fast, ingredients are always fresh, cooks actually know what they are doing... delicious flavour, no skimping, good portions.

Best restaurant in Kingston, by far. All the other Chinese restaurants are simply inferior compared to Silver Wok. Excellent food, excellent service; what more is there to ask for? Everyone there was incredibly friendly and my food was ready quickly, despite the fact that it was packed in there. This is definitely my favourite restaurant. Can't wait to go back... may be dining there tomorrow! I would suggest to anyone looking for a delicious meal. I love Silver Wok!

Fresh,fresh,fresh!!! I challenge anyone to find fresher, better tasting chinese food in Kingston. Easily the most authentic menu around with too many items to list. We have been there many times and will return many more times although they are getting way too busy on the weekends so will order more during the weekdays to satisfy our our craving for the 'Wok'.
P.S. The General Tao Chicken is superb!
If you're expecting authentic Chinese food I suggest you board an airplane and fly to China. If you're expecting excellent Canadian-Chinese food, in good portions at a low price, and served by a great staff then eat here. Kingston has far to few good Chinese eateries and this is by far the best. My flatmate and I are regulars usually getting an H and a G respectively. Their Wonton Soup is the best in the city.

Best chinese food in Kingston. Inexpensive, fast service and overall great experience for a city that lacks in quality Chinese cuisine. I am a Queen's student going into my last year and I have been to Silver Wok probably 30-40 times in the last 3 years. I regularly attend -aholic meetings for becoming addicted to the General Tao chicken. I am currently, with help from the group, trying to branch out and try other wonderful items on their menu... but it's so darn hard!
