‘Effortless’ is the word that Delia Romano, owner of Violets & Dahlias in Kleinberg, says is central to all her creative endeavours. “Once I was in Italy and I got stopped in the street by an elderly lady. I remember her clearly. She was wearing hot pink boots! She told me that she loved my style and described it as effortless. That’s why I love this word! It seems to suit my whole philosophy.”

Delia opened her shop in 1995 with a focus on flowers, but has branched out into a unique line of clothing from Canada and Europe with some stock designed by Delia herself. If you need to pick up a gift with that je ne sais quoi, this little treasure trove is for you. “People can come in here and pick up a great outfit, a lovely hostess gift and a beautiful bouquet. It’s fabulous for special occasions,” says Delia.

It’s equally fabulous if you simply want to pick up one-of-a-kind clothing in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
