Very good fish and chips. Greek salad wasn't really a greek salad -- more like a house salad that someone added feta and olives to. Hubby's dinner had lots of salad but they skimped on the fries. He got about half as many fries as I did (I ordered just the fish and chips). Waitress was rather abrupt when we first arrived but she lightened up toward the end of our visit. Very quick service.

I've been to this restaurant several times and have never found a single problem. The staff are always kind and curtious. The food is great and always made fresh.I would recommend this to anyone who loves fish and chips. Best place in Lindsay!

Brutal

I walked in and had to pee quite bad so I headed for the washroom while my wife got in line. "You have to order first" was yelled at me from behind the counter. I continued towards the washroom pretending not to hear the guy because I really had to pee. The man went animal on me...yelling that washrooms are for customers only and I am NOT allowed to use it until I order. So we left. I have lived in Lindsay 10 years now and eat 5 to 10 restaurant meals each week but I have never been back. I have never been treated so rudely in any restaurant in my life. Avoid...

I have visited this restaurant several times and it has always been impressive. I was hesitant about yet another fish and chip restaurant in Lindsay but this one is by far the best, and I'm picky! I have both dined in and ordered take out - it is simply the best/freshest fish I have had in a long time anywhere in the area. Definitely continue to go there and refer others. I don't know what the first bad poster was talking about, as far as I know they didn't even serve Rice pudding.

I would have to highly dissagree with Marsha. This restaurant is amazing. The service is wonderful, as well as the employees. I eat here once a week and the food is fantastic. Fresh hot and ready within minutes even at peak hour. Everybody is very clean there. I see employees constanly washing there. 10/10. The best fish and chips in town.

We moved from nearby the country into Lindsay recently and this is our third visit to this busy restaurant. They serve the best fish & chips in the Kawarthas - halibut fillets are cooked to perfection and served with crisp full-sized french fries (no little bits of ends here). The platter also had onion rings, scallops, shrimps and a fresh garden salad. All prices are reasonable and the food is plentiful. Where can you find a meal with 1 halibut fillet & an order of chips for $6.10?. If you are a fish & chip fan you won't find any that are better than at the Captains!.
