The Cat & The Fiddle Lindsay is located in the heart of downtown Lindsay. We are a British Pub and Family Restaurant. We offer a wide variety of food from around the world and offer theme nights, specials and children's menu.
Food is really good. Staff are friendly and service is fantastic. I was greeted at the door immediately and had a cold beer within 2 minutes. I ordered hot wings on my first visit and suicide wings on my second visit. The hot wings are not very hot so if you like hot, order the suicide.
This place has always left an awful feeling in the stomach
We had tried this place since it opened about six different times...I know why would we if you don't like it but we go back bc again, Lindsay lacks good options for a meal out!
Let me start of by saying anytime we eat there, one of us if not all of us at times has an upset stomach shortly after leaving.
The last time resulted in the two of us having food poisioning and we've never been back.
I actually have to say I always enjoyed the food while eating it, ample to eat and it's warm but wonder on the cleanliness of the staff as if that's what's resulting in the illness shortly after consumption.
Service is great...if you're a male. If you're a female you're ignored by the waitress who thinks by being friendly to the male she's getting a great tip. That's any time and any waitress I've seen in there and what's funny is they're not good looking! Only the old men sitting on the stools who've been there since opening are buying it.
Due to the last time we went, the cruddy service and obvious food poisoning we have not nor ever will go back, not even for a pint!
Hubby and I visited this pub right after it opened and thought it overpriced but tried it again recently. Still think it's way overpriced. A small plate of nachos was about $14 and 6 chicken "snakebites" were $9. Food was fine but I hate being gouged for an afternoon snack.
Absolutely amazing pub. Great food, service and atmosphere. British style pub, but not gawdy. Kristin, our hostess was cheerful and efficient. Homemade Burger was outstanding served with very crisp fries. Philly cheesesteak best yet. Served with delicious homemade cole slaw. Lots of choices on the menu and bar.
