We visited as a party of 12, killing some time between a wedding nearby and the following reception. All of us were from out of town...we enjoyed some pitchers of beer plus other cocktails, and several apps to share, one person had an entree (Shepherd's Pie). All of the food was enjoyed by all, and the service was top-notch. I don't know our server's name, but she had short blonde hair and she was friendly, fast and efficient...and I know large parties can be annoying, especially when people are moving seats (as we were, as we were mostly relatives who had not seen each other in a while and were catching up), going out to the patio to smoke, etc...but she handled our group extremely well and we were all very happy.
The place appeared very clean as well, including the washrooms. I would definately return when in London again. Thanks for a great afternoon!
I was surprised to find that the Fox and Fiddle was actually a chain restaurant. It replaced one called the elephant castle, and really I didn't not see a very big change. I assumed they have simply been hesitant to deviant much from the old menu.
It's English pub food and done well enough. Portions are fairly large, though not cheap. Tuesdays are wing night and that has become the day which I do go to the Fox and Fiddle. They have a good number of sauces to choose from, ranging from sweet to very spicy. They are always cooked well, nice and juicy with good crispy skin.
Service sometimes feels a bit slow, but not drastically. The decor is dark but the front of house is largely walled by windows, making lunch or early dinner a delightful sunny time.
