This place is great period.With a pretty basic pub menu the food was made with care and presented with pride which made up for the lack of originality.The bar sevice was great with a good selection of draft and fine whisky.

What A Bar Should Be

cozy atmosphere, Sleeman Clear!, good conversation -- a simple bar! go here for a good time, no worries and fun. we didn't try the food but why bother if you have the beer!

Bar not a restaurant

Scots is a place to drink, really not a place to eat other than having bar munchies. The food is fried, frozen, stuff you will find at hundreds of bars. It is slow to come usually, but they don't expect you to pay more than its worth. Go for the drinks and the friendship, just don't go for dinner.

I go to Scots Corner often. I've been going for 2 years now and heres why I can go on my own sometimes before work, or on my lunch break, for a quick bite to eat and a brew, or after work with larger groups of people for rounds of pitchers. I usually get the usual pub food there. Wings, burgers, chicken fingers ect. The food is great and at a fair price. I find that it's usually really fast. I can come in and order a pound of wings and have a pint of beer all in 20 minutes before heading back to work which is pretty good for a pub I have to say The staff are great. They are very friendly and always greet you with a smile and are happy to see you, be it they are meeting you for the first time or your back for the 3rd time that day. The atmosphere is awesome, not only is the staff that works there friendly but for the most part so is the crowd. You can come in alone sit down and make friends with the person next to you. In the evening your treated to various live music from real good bands to open mic nights on tuesday to karaoke saturdays. They have a wide selection of beers, including 27 they have on tap. A bottle of domestic is just 3.75 which for downtown london. thats probably as cheap as you'll get. and pints range but are no more than $5 with change. All in all I recommend this place to everyone. I feel not to many of the younger generation know about it since I'm in my early 20's and you don't see to many people that age around there but I think more and more people are learning about it. It a good place too goo and just get rounds of beers and hang out. Only thing I don't recommend is using their ATM. Just pay with debit or go to the TD across the street or BMO next door.. It's taken 100 and 60 bucks from me which took a week or 2 to get back from TD Once you go there you notice your treated like an old friend and you'll find yourself coming back. Cheers

This is my "local" due to the friendliness and true pub atmosphere. The soccer crowd is a friendly, loyal bunch and the owner and his family always greet you like an old friend. The staff is fabulous, as is the food.

We have been there a few times, I went because my husband recommended it. One time he went there for fish and chips and the CHEF told him not to go with it as he didn't like the fish he had received that day. WONDERFUL SERVICE, and great atmosphere make for a tremendous experience. :D DEFINITELY RECOMMEND looking forward to having time to visit again!!!

really enjoy the atmosphere and the food. The band on wednesdays is the Johnny Girls..great skills and some phenomenal entertainment as well. Enjoy the selection on tap and wonderful personal service also.
