The staff are amazing! Service is wonderful and the food awesome !! Great prices and food is cooked to order Been here many many times and have YET to be disappointed ! Highly recommended

I'm a native New Yorker and I've been searching for a good NY style diner since I moved to London 8 months ago. This morning I found it at Southside Family Restaurant. The decor, the atmosphere, everything reminded me of my favourite diners on L.I. The breakfast special was fantastic! Huge portions, real NY diner sausage, perfect home fries and at $3.95 you can't beat it. Our waitress Mary was a sweetheart and took great care of us. It's like a taste of New York here in Canada. This is how a diner should be!

Pit stop
Driving to Windsor We made a stop at this place and were dissapointed with the food. We were never offered coffee refill,had to ask for our tab.Not the greatest place,needless to say we won't be back,sorry P.s. Heard the expression,where is the beef? WHERE IS THE MEAT?

Think Twice
My wife and I had our meal there on Mon. Jan 23/2012. the bill was $43.51 and I left a $7 tip. paid for by debit.. Debit macine said accepted restaurant computer said not so. I then paid for in cash.Told money would be deposited back into my account.I faxed them all information required on Tues 24. Time is 11:06 am Mon. Jan 30. No money, No contact from Management, no apology or even a compementary meal for my inconvenience. I was also in on Fri the 27th they could have refunded me then. and by the way I live 50 miles away and this is an hours drive each way, plus about $25:00 in gas to collect $50:51 Think twice before going there and look for my page on facebook. you ain't seen nothing yet

My husband and I have been there fo lunch and the food was terrible,we had a chicken soup that was way to salty.The turkey and corn beef sandwich were very dry and portion was skimpy.On top of all that the waitress was slow an look unhappy.I do not think we will be back any time soon.

If you like home cooked meals, you love this place, I took my gran for dinner for her birthday and we had a great experience. I wanted to go to a more upscale resterant but gran said she likes real food that didn't cost a fortune and that what we got. The soup you could tell was home made and it was amazing. Gran had a senior lazanga and it was bigger than my plate of food, they didn't skimp at all. I had roast beef mmmm so good with real mashed potatoes. I think their menu is very plain, very diner style, and I wasn't not impressed by their dessert choices, I don't even remember them. My gran's meal came with a free dessert though and she liked it. The service was great, the server came and checked on us, got us refills before we had to ask. She genuinally looked happy to be there and tried to make her customers happy too. The whole atmosphere looked very welcoming. Good Job guys
