The restaurant that I will take about is “Ruth’s Chris Steak House” this restaurant is amazing the service is good and the steaks are incredible. “Ruth’s Chris Steak House” the best one is at City Center Drive, Mississauga, ON. Many people who have been to “Ruth’s Chris Steak House” argue over were they like or not. I think many adults who like a nice evening out away for the kids this is the perfect restaurant. Many say that this restaurant is very pricey and I agree but the service is awesome and I have never had a better steak till I came here. It is also amazing that they cook the steak at almost 1000 degrees, but I burned my self by touching the plate and nobody told me it was that hot. The service was great everybody was nicely dressed and very enthusiastic. there were very nice painting and plats and there was even an original Picasso. Overall this restaurant is a great restaurant to have an evening out everything about this restaurant is awesome amen who cooks there steaks at 1000 degrees and puts butter on top. Therefore this is an amazing restaurant and I hope that you pay it a visit.

overpriced

Never would i spend $50 for a steak. Literally just a steak, no fixins. You have to pay another 8 bucks for mashed potato or another 6 bucks for sauteed mushrooms. And the 50 was base price, the better the cut the greater the cost. Some friends suggested this place so we went there for my birthday. I felt so uncomfortable when i saw the menu. The server gave us this shpeel about the high grade beef flown fresh from states... blah blah blah and whats wrong with canadian beef?! Is this their way of classifiying this restaurant as high end? We were about to leave when the server suggested the set dinner for early evening dinners. It was $60 per person not including drinks. So we got water, LOL. I admit the food was pretty good, but for these prices i expected a whole lot more. Overall the place is overrated, overpriced, and not necessary.

This restaurant is "highly" overrated. Prices were not compatable with the food. Average to say the least. Our server had the personality of a rock. The napkins were so hard that our faces got chapped. Don't waste you money folks. Cesar salad was so small and tasteless (tasted like bottled salad dressing and boxed croutons). Everything else was just as bad and overpriced. Never, ever again!!

Steak and Service

Personally, I love this chain and I usually refuse to eat at chains. Been to both the Toronto and Mississauga locations more than once. They have a prix fixe menu at some locations for $50 or $60 per person. App, Side, Main(petit filet) and dessert. It has been my experience that the wait staff are very professional and the manager(Miss location) has almost always come by my table and others to ensure satisfaction. I purchased some gift certs and later received a personalized thank you in the mail from my waiter. Not necessary but a nice touch.

Ate there for the first time recently. The atmosphere was nice but the service was slow and bordering on rude and the food was mediocre and extremely overpriced. Won't be going back.

My family & I went to Ruth Chris for a birthday. We were so disappointed with the food. The calamari was covered with a sweet syrup, my diabetic mother could not eat it. The lobster bisque,crab cakes and creme brulee were good. Our lobster and petite steak were plain tasting. Our sides, were over priced for the quality and size of dish.The sweet potato casserole tasted more like a dessert because it was so sweet. Overall everything was overpriced for the size, quantity and quality of the food. The service was horrible. Our waiter kept filling our already filled glasses with sparkling water. We asked for one bottle and he ended up going through three bottles , without asking if we wanted more. I had to tell him to stop filling up our glasses. My Sister asked to have her crab cakes and salad as a main course. She was served crab cakes as an appetizer and only had her salad for dinner. Then, we had a prepaid credit card to use. He comes back with the bill, saying it will take 20 mins to put through, so he did not bother and charged the rest to my credit card. I told him to put it through, we will wait. It took 2 mins to process. I was not impressed. Overall, I would spead my hard earned $100/person at another restaurant.

Received a gift certificate for Christmas. OMG, for what I paid and the portions served, I was hoping to find a pearl in my salmon. Food very plain and expensive, absolutely nothing with your meal. You pay for the air you breath. Made sure we used up our gift cert. so we don't come back again. The way the main course is served is good for dogs. Went home and finished up my dinner.

This has to be the worst chain ever. If you like to eat your steak in a rushed, noisy atmosphere, surrounded by "dudes" in NASCAR shirts, and baseball hats, then this is the place for you. Prices are high, just like a real up-scale steak house, but service, food, and clientele are strictly old-school "Ponderosa Steakhouse". The McD's of steak. AVOID.

My Husband and I celebrated our post valentines dinner at Ruth's Chris steakhouse in Mississauga. Made the reservation and we requested a cozy spot and we got it. Satuday night was pretty busy but the service was still great. We didn't wait long for our table and for the server. We had crabcake and it was really good. Hubby had the sirloin and I had the rib eye..their steak is the best and the most expensive I have had but it is really worth every penny of yours. For the sides, we had the sauted mushrooms w/c is not that good and the mashed potatoes are ok but they didn't give any gravy.

yes it's pricey, but worth it. one of the best steaks ever. all the other courses were excellent. the service was great and they made our 3 year old feel welcomed. also provided a shuttle to take us from and to our hotel.

I have been to this location of Ruth's Chris...

I have been to this location of Ruth's Chris twice - and was not disappointed (but did worry about the bill throughout the meal). The food was excellent, particularly the steak frites and the mashed potatoes. I had a Petit Filet, which was good except that I think they mixed mine up with my parents, and we ended up doing a switch at the table. Our server was GREAT - it was my father's birthday and he took a picture of us at the table and told us we could find it online in a day or two. I thought it was a really nice touch. If you want to celebrate a special occasion, this is a great place to have a great meal, never mind that you're paying a bit more - you'll enjoy it.

The Number 1 Steakhouse in The GTA!!

My friends and I visited Ruth's Chris Mississauga a few weeks ago and we experienced one of the best nights out in a long time. We have visited Ruth's Chris Steakhouses throughout the world and let me tell you "Mississauga does not disappoint!!" The food was out of this world. The appetizers were fresh and fabulous. The main course was phenomenal. The USDA prime beef really lives up to it's golden standards. It was like melting butter in your mouth. The side dishes were enormous and were served al la carte. You don't see that enough in restaurants anymore. The desserts were suppose to be made in house and they must have been because the creme brule was the best I've tasted....ever! The service was fast and elegant with just the right touch of personality. The waiter had a knowledge in wine that really made for a great experience. He was on the ball all night and did not miss a beat. It was really nice to have that type of service. You don't get that as much now. One of the management stopped by to see how we were doing. I found this very above and beyond because we didn't complain about anything and that is usually when a manager comes by to see you. They were all class. I recommend to anyone who is looking for a wonderful dining experience to try out Ruth's Chris Mississauga. If you have never heard of Ruth's Chris Steak House before you are missing out and you must make your next evening out with them. It was a real pleasure from beginning to end.

Nice place for romantic evening

My husband and I enjoyed a romantic dinner at Ruth Chris. I must say that the food and service were excellent. The ambiance was very nice too but I think that maybe there should have been some kind of dress code in place. I just don't understand how some people are willing to spend $200 for dinner and not even bother to take their coats off at the table. That's just rude, if you ask me

Horrible all around

We are used to fine dining establishments and this one falls short from beginning to end. The ambiance is horrible unless you like looking at Mississauga transit busses passing by the window during dinner. The Steaks, extremely overpriced and full of grizzle. They were sent back twice already due to being overcooked. We gave up after that as our $10 potatoes (you ahve to order everything separately) were already cold. Ended up with a $100 gift certificate after reporting the horrible service. We threw it out. Not worth enduring the pain again and I wouldn't torture other with the regift. The waiter were not that which should be working in fine dining. I would compare them to a shlucky US establishment style wait staff. Do yourself a favour and skip this one.

First Visit

The environment at Ruth's Chris is nice, the food is served quite goofy. I have been to many great steak houses, and a-la carte is a silly way to do it. The amount of plates on the table taken up by having one vegetable/ steak per plate. Also the steak is served on a plate that is smoking hot and splatters grease at your table. My steak ended up being well done, all though I ordered Medium, thanks to the hot pan that its served in. I must say, the quality of the food was very good though.

These people writing low reviews do not know what they are talking about. Ruth's Chris is a well known reputable steakhouse and they are located around the world. I have been to the one in Hong Kong, Florida, New York, Edmonton...and they have never disappointed me. Obviously it's pricey and you are well aware of that when you walk in. If you can't afford it, then don't go! Their food is always delicious, service is fabulous and desserts are out of this world.

I craved this place ... when I was leaving the restaurant. You are crazy if you think that this food is comparable to The Keg. Sure the prices are high... but I don't mind as long as I am getting quality. I have been here 4 times and it gets better and better every time

This place is a money grabber daarlink! And don't come hungry or else you'll max out on your credit card. We're both world travellers and dropped by this steak house in Mississuaga before a flight. The steaks were awful, never you mind the 1000 degree cooking crab. The meat was tough. Everything else was a la carte; where are we? In a car dealership optioning to buy a new vehicle?? Check out their corporate web site too. Shows you it's $$$$ first then service and food secondary.For the price they charge, we could have flown to Chicago or Alberta for a much better meal. Skip this one.
