I've been to a lot of Italian Fine dining restaurants and this one in particular stood out to me. The food was very well cooked to my liking. The pasta itself was perfectly made and the sauces always compliment the dish! I had the Fusilli Rustica with Rose sauce. The service is phenomenal. Always friendly and they really know their dishes. The price is also VERY affordable compared to other restaurants. The ambiance suits the restaurant and it really is a beautiful place. It makes me feel like I'm in Italy !

My husband and I go to Mississauga/Toronto for vacation every August and detour down to Niagara Falls. But we ALWAYS stop at Thyme Ristorante.
They have a huge selection of food and drinks and you can even mix&match, or personalize what you want and what you dont want. And behind their 5 page menu, they even have a Thai menu! Which is great because I love asian food and my husband loves european food. Deep Fried WonTons ARE A MUST HAVE!! it has several types of cheese, crab meat and some other warm goodness! DO NOT TRY AT HOME... it was a failed attempt!

Went for dinner on a Friday with a couple friends. The place was fairly busy but not full. Service at the table and atmosphere was decent but the main courses took almost an hour to get after our appetizers and when they arrived most of the food was cold as were the plates. The demiglace on my veal had a skin on it and it was obvious that it had been sitting in the window for a while. I pointed it out to the waiter who apologized and asked if we wanted to reheat our food but by then we had to leave so I took a few bites and got the rest to go. I have heard good things so maybe we went on an off night. Prices are very reasonable.
Thyme was great once but now Randy the waiter seems to have taken over and is definitely far too big for his britches. On Valentines he totally ruined our evening from the onset telling us we must "clear the table" by 7:15 because he has a "full house then".
While he hugged and kissed his favorites, telling them to “relax and enjoy” he was obnoxious and rude to the rest of us. Even made a rude comment about his tip. The “set menu” was limited and totally inflexible. Our food was late of course and that made the whole experience worse.
Peter the owner obviously doesn't care because he did not return my phone calls. I will not go back.
I discovered Thyme about 3 years ago with my then boyfriend who is my now husband and whenever we have a date night it always starts at THYME. The service, food & atmosphere is always fantastic! Our faves are the soupa de pesce, the special house salad, the gnocci groganzola and the lobster stuffed raviolli which is a special. Always a fave!!
We have been here 3 times now and have loved it. The waiters are very attentive but not intruding and are very knowledgable about the menu and wine list. The food is fabulous and the decor is very quaint. When we come to Mississauga, this is the place we go to for dinner. We would recommend this place and have brought several family members here who loved it as well.

My party and I found this to be a very enjoyable dining experience. Our waiter (Randy) was awesome. He was very entertaining and very knowledgeable about the food. We went during the "Southside Shuffle" and there was a blues duo playing on the patio, which led to very enjoyable evening.
I highly recommend this restaurant.
Pasta and various sauces were all excellent, and very delicious. All servers were very friendly and helpful, specially the one for our table. Went a little extra for our birthday dinner. We all had a enjoyable evening and plan to come back soon.
Service was very slow and obvious preference given to regular customers. Caprese salad was just a green salad with the cheese and tomato added. No special presentation. Veal was tough and blah presentation. Creme Caramel was good. Have visited for lunch with was far better. Would do lunch again but not dinner.
This place is fantastic! Best wine prices I've seen almost anywhere. The food is wonderful and made to order if requested (I give the food a 10, my wife gives it 9.5). Service is very courteous and honest. Best Italian restaurant I've been to outside of Italy. Overall rating is a 9, only because the ambience could be improved.

We read other reviews and we're disappointed not to receive the same "4-star" food & service. Bottle of wine was opened away from the table, and 2 full glasses poured without tasting. Soup was luke warm, and veal was average at best. Much better experiences available in town.

Have visited this restaurant often. Food is always great, service usually great, nice atmosphere. Great tiramisu for dessert. They often serve a special salad with berries that is wonderful.
