I was very disappointed!!!! My daughter took me out for Mothers Day, it was a wonderful gesture on her part to try new places such as Macy's unfortunatly I was so disappointed with the service. The host at the front was very nice. Our waitress came after 10min of waiting and was very crude. she wasn't welcoming and seemed sour. I felt like maybe she was having a bad day so early in the morning oh well, I let it go and ordered my food. I spacifically asked her if i was able to get something different which was on the menu but altered it just a bit since i don't eat eggs. She said yes. the food finally came and the slamon wasn't done properly I asked if it could be done just a little more. she said no we can not this is how it comes. I was in awe! Really I said?! oh ok then she didn't suggest anything other than sorry. I said ok please bring the toast and i'll drink my momosa. once my daughter finished her last bite of food some one else came and picked up the plates in a few min later the check came. I thought a waitress is supposed to ask ...is that all or can we get soemthing else? NO! they didn't and I was very upset b/c my daughter wanted to order me a piece of cake and I told her just forget it. these people have no class and we should just pay and never come back to this disgusting place. Disgusting Service! I would never recommend this place to any one. I didn't pay the bill so I am not sure of how much my daughter paid. the amount above is a guess.

This place is in a time warp and it seems they are unclear of what kind of restaurant they want to be.

The food is consistently great - the fish and chips is not to be missed. Roast beef dinner on Saturday night is heaven although make sure to go hungry.
Our family are regulars of this place and it has such a wonderful family feel to it. The staff are family and they treat you like one of their own.
They are excellent with children too bringing food fast and really looking after you.
We typically try and find a good place for breakfast on the weekends. We came across Macy's by chance, it is kind of hidden in a commercial area, but right on Royal Windsor.
It is now our regular breakfast place...we like the standard...Bacon or sausage and eggs. Nothing is overly greasy or loaded up with salt/butter etc. It tastes homemade, which is great. The choice of other sides if you don't want potatoes is great....grilled tomatoes for example. Service is good, everyone is friendly, but not overly friendly if you know what I mean (that is a compliment!).
May go on a Friday for their Chips and Fish special.
Hopefully Macy's isn't like some of our other breakfast places....let's hope they stay in business...we seem to be a curse for restaurants!!

The place is clean and staff was nice - however I had my heart set on a authentic " Montreal smoked meat" sandwich - sorry guys - as an x-montrealer - this stuff is not even close.
The food was fabulous, it completely exceeded expectations. Everything from the coleslaw with the fish and chips to the tzatziki was flavourful and perfectly executed. The pies were wonderful, not too sweet - best meal I've had in recent memory.
Excellent food at excellent prices - the new owner has made a successful effort to ensure great quality food at VERY reasonable prices - The BEST Fish and Chips I have ever had - Have also been for breakfast - fabulous!!!
Have been to Macey's three days in a row. The service is Excellent the food is absolutely fabulous. Stumbled into the Restaurant by accident. Now this will be our regular. Food is home cooked the Apple strudel was warm and fresh. The owner Hansi takes great care and pride in his menu. You will not be disappointed.
If you are looking for Great food, great freindly service and a fair price don't hesitate going to Macey's. P.S. Try the Goulash Soup! It's as good as any that I've had in Europe.
The Decor is not fancy but the food and service make up for that in spades.
